now reading it I may have to think about havving a look at my system, I used Fesser One and it's been running a year now, perhaps I should see what damage it's doing... lol.. but temps are still low, perhaps I'll have a look when I notice a problem as you said the stuff you checked after 2 years still looked pretty good...
    Thanks mate

About the Feser stuff, I don't think there's anything to worry about unless it is showing signs of splitting or fading, or you put it into a less than pristine loop? I've seen to real horrible messes from this stuff, but if you look a little deeper, many of them admit that their loop wasn't "that" clean to begin with. Maybe a reaction with something else they had in? I really don't know.

An excellent guide, really detailed and well written. I wish this had been about when I started.

I've already forwarded a link to a friend of mine who is planning on watercooling later this year. Many thanks for taking the time to put this together.

Forgot to add, couldn't agree more on the coloured liquid. In a previous system I ran it with some Fesser One green liquid for a few months. It almost destroyed my system as it completely blocked my Apogee GT block with green sludge. It stained it so badly that I ended up buying a new block.

First time I've looked at the guide Dave. Really impressive.

Does one have to add any type of anti-corrosive to the loop when using a sliver kill-coil or silver plated barbs?

Thanks James, glad it is of use

No other additives needed if using distilled water and a kill coil and there are no mixed metals. In fact, if it's a pristine loop (+ no mixed metals), you can get away with just the distilled water, but the silver is a good idea, nevertheless.

Yes all copper/brass or plated components like nickel with silver need no corrosion blocker.
It is usually when aluminium gets introduced that additives are needed.
Otherwise a little piece of silver and distilled water is all you need.
