I was interested particularly in seeing if I could achieve this bench. This matches the highest FSB so far on the DDR2 version. I was wondering if the lack of CPU GTL control might hinder it. Initially I had freezes running Super-Pi, increased MCH Core to 1.50v, the highest so far on both boards

Repeated this clock to enable a benchmark comparison. Gigabyte GA-X48T-DQ6

Slightly faster PI32M timing (like for like bench re Cache)
Everest results are similar , though with different versions.
The suprising result for me was Wprime , I've been slightly lazy in that the comparison is E8600 v E8500 (X48T)
, the x48 showing the faster results.

Interesting tweak tried tightening

Re running Everest gives a nice boost in copy from 10836 to 11099 +263 2.4%

Our friend Alcibiades bought this matter up
Safe Auto Voltages using a moderate overclock, such as anyone might do coming new to the board.

I decided to test it out myself :-
4,050 9x450

All voltages left on auto


Voltages per Easytune - As you see both PLL & Vtt at 1.76v & 1.50v are a little excessive
So suggest you stick with manual settings for both these. Vtt of 1.34v has taken me up to 585fsb with PLL at a maximum of 1.64v so far.

not entirely sure the values shown in easytune6 are the real values ??? have you measured them via DMM ?

I think the values shown there are the bios values. For example

shows values I set in bios as opposed to actual monitored values as in Abit Guru. The Key voltages PLL , CPU Terminnation , MCH & Vdimm are right the others are off from bios. The vdimm subvolts are out by around -0.14v .

Haven't got the MM out on the board yet.

Just got my hands on this new Bios courtesy of jooney

For some reason flash was a bit hairy, post got in a repeating led sequence C1 C3 02 88.
Had to use sbenrap's Unbrick procedure which was used for the F5A issue on the X48T. Glad to say it worked after removing battery at a bout 3rd attempt.

there are a few assitions as jonney reported:-
Ironically after my flash issues
Dual Bios Recovery Source

Options:-
Hard drive or 2nd bios chip


CPU Reference Voltages


Still no Memory Driving Profiles though

Revisited my brothers EP45T-EXTREME
flashed to bios F5B
Works with EIST and C1E turned on as well, so with summer upon us here down under, I'm happy with the system now.
Any tips or suggestions are always welcome.

Ambient temp 20C
Idle: 1.328V - 1.312V temp 31C
Load: 1.312V - 1.296V temp 47C
