If your running 3.2k you can probably ease back a bit on the PLL maybe 1.56v ??
There always is a frop between the vcore in bios , vcore at Idle & vcore on load.
sounds like your making some good progress

Default Bios F6K

Bit late in the day but got round to giving Bios F6K a run out. Like earlier bios we continue to see staedy improvement.

New Features
Adds another Memory option, a somewhat odd name on a DDR2 board, DDR3 Write Training
I'm running it on [Enabled]

Benches

Comparison to F6H
Have just changed DDR2 am noe running on CellShock DDR2 1150 5-5-5-18 Micron D9GKx have set them on same timings as the previous Crucial Ballistix for the comparion. There's a slight lift in Everest scores , but the biggest lift is in COU speed with the Wprime test.

Stability

Bios Settings

Had to turn up Dram Sub voltages a notch to get new ram tuned, all other settinngs as previous.

1.58v for PLL did it.

I have gone a few notches since then, got 8x407 and 8x413 now testing at 7x442...

At 3.3ghz my temps are about as far as i wanna go, i am on air.

Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme with 2 64cfm fans, they run at lower speeds because the alarm temps are not reached, but noise is an issue...

Would like to see 6x multi on 500+ fsb but seems far off right now, i like the idea of running the ram 1:1!

I will see how my stability goes, then head there, i guess if temps cannot really go any higher, i only have PLL, termination and mch to play with

The only real advantage of running 1:1 is that your hopefully running your CPU high , by higher FSB. Maximising CPU speed gives best performance. Your running a Q660 not a wolfdale. Maximum FSB on q6600 is probably around 450~465. If your expecting 500+ then you need a wolfdale. Given the lower FSB restriction the optimum solution is to use a higher strap such as 2.66D or 2.40b

Hi welcome to the forums
What is the spec for your patriot ?? Ie rated speed timing & vdimm ??
be good if you could Add Your System Specs To Your Profile please.

few things to try :-
1) Under Driving settings for both channel A & B :-
select Driving Strength Profile:[1066Mhz]

2) Advanced Timing Control [Press Enter]
Try the 2nd value
tRRD...........................................:3 --> 4
tWTR..........................................:3--> 4
tWR............................................:6-->10
tRFC...........................................:52--> 55
tRTP...........................................:3-->4

3) Try for both channels
Trd2rd(Different Rank)....................:6--> 8
Twr2wr(Different Rank)...................:6-->8
Twr2rd(Different Rank)...................:5-->7
Trd2wr(Same/Diff Rank)..................:8--> 9

4) Dram Voltages
MCH/DRAM Ref.…......0.900V...........: 0.940v -->1.00v
DRAM Termination .…0.900V............: 0.940v--->1.00v
Channel A Reference 0.900V............: 0.940v--->1.00v
Channel B Reference 0.900V............: 0.940v--->1.00v

5) CPU Voltages
For 8x500 these look high
CPU Termination…..... 1.200V*.......: 1.36v--> try 1.34v
CPU PLL…………………....1.500V*.......: 1.66v--> 1.62v maybe 1.64v for a qauad not sure
CPU Referen.…………....0.755V*.......: 0.911v = 67% of CPU termination try ~63%
CPU Reference2………,,0.800V*.........:1.001v = 74% of CPU Term try ~67%

let us know how it goes
