Pretty poor though as you said. A week without pc plus the hassle of strip & build again.

You'd think it would be part of the Technical process , test flash before you make it available to download.

well i have 3 more pc just not my high end gaming system so not all that bad but im sure there's many out there who only own one, and that really hurts . There are tons of post all over the web of people who flashed the F5 Final and it killed there system. I dont think anyone was able to fix it or to get the qbios to kick in.

This is really going to give gigabyte some bad press as its there fault not the end user for the bad flash

i am glad that i have the board put back into the box..most likely i would be experiencing the same thing....you would think Q-Flash would see the corruption...now...that is a point that the flashing EXE would check the bios out before flashing...i did use the flashing EXE one time...if i remember correctly, it went through at least one or two quality checks before flashing to the bios i presented.

That's right you see the verifying & checksum checks. Also unlike other boards it's got dual bios, so you'd think it should be bomb proof.

can't see anyone being desperate enough to try even in a week a so's time , assuming gigabyte put a proper one up. Might be easier if they just make the replacement F6

Be nice if they reimburse you the postage.
