Temps were pretty good can be seen at bottom of Prime. Coretemp log gave an average over the run of 46.7C

3,600 15x240 @1066 1,279Mhz 6-6-6-16

Did a bit of tweaking and testing of the ODC Control
Found that with my ram 60 Ohm 1.0x and 1.25x worked best see detail below. This let me up the memory multiplier to 1333 to 1,532Mhz 8-8-8-21 on the previous 230x clock. Though this wasn't stable , it does give a benefit and I used it in this clock. It's going to vary depending on your ram , so it's worth experimenting.

CPU Temps Min 44C Max 55C Average 46.7C
Though I've not increased Chipset voltages I did notice in smart guardian that Chipset Temp was 53C, so have added a fan , which bought it down to 44C.

Phenom II x4 955
Thought I'd splash out and try the Phenom II x4 955. This is rated at 200x16 3,200Mhz. More importantly it's a BE edition which means the CPU Multi is unlocked. Suprisingly BE doesn't stand for Bloody expensive, It's only £14 ($18) more than the 945. The 955 wasn't available when we started the review.

Small but a pretty decent looking cooler

Phenom II x4 955 Stock Volts - 3,600 - 18x200 1600Mhz 8-8-8-21
Made pretty few changes in bios for this, mainly DDR3 related:

• upping ram ration to 1600,
• manually entering timings, rather than the slacker SPD settings.
• Cpu voltage was left at default to see
• how high the 955 would clock.
• Only voltage touched was Dram voltage.

I opted for 3.6Hhz as that was where I stopped with the 945 that being the max HTT clock of 240, with locked CPU ratio of 15.
