We started this guide in October 2007, just after we first opened, but never got round to finishing it for one reason or another.  A few weeks ago, We started working on it again with the intention of it being a quick walk through, but it has turned into a huge article with over seventy images.  We've tried to keep it as simple as possible with beginners in mind, but at the same time, tried to keep it interesting and informative for slightly more seasoned water coolers.  Have we succeeded? Almost two years ago, we reviewed  the DimasTech's Easy Bench V2.0 and while it was a revelation for us reviewers, there were several design issues that needed addressing.  DimasTech actually contacted us to say that they had listened to what we (and others) had said, and had made a series of changes to the latest model, the Easy Bench V2.5.

Crucial have always been at the forefront of memory technology, with their Ballistix range of DDR, DD2 and DDR3 acquiring accolades from across the globe.  Today, we are going to take a look at their latest innovative product, the catchily titled Ballistix BL2KIT25664FN 1608 2x2GB Memory Kit.  This RAM carries the same specification as the Crucial Ballistix Tracer DDR3 PC3-12800 BL25664TB1608 that we reviewed back in March.

The X58 chip set has been around for almost two years, and in that time, we've seen a succession of motherboards, all purporting to offer something extra over their predecessors, today we have a recent offering from Asus in the form of their P6X58D-E (P6X from here on in!).  The P6X is a fully loaded mid range motherboard with all the usual trimmings, only this time we have two SATA III 6GB ports and two USB 3.0 ports to add a little future proofing.  To make things a little more interesting, Asus have added some nice overclocking features, so we are going to go at this from a "budget" overclocking perspective.

Here at Clunk.org.uk, we appreciate a finely made PC chassis, so when Corsair asked if we'd like to give their 800D Obsidian a spin, we jumped at the chance.

Gigabyte have kindly sent us their high end H57 MATX motherboard, the GA-H57M-USB3.  Over the next couple of weeks, we'll be putting it through it's paces and seeing what we can squeeze out of it, but early tests show that it is an excellent all rounder.  You can read the full review here.
