OCZ Blade OCZ3B2000LV6GK 6GB 7-8-7 2000MHz Triple Channel Kit Review.

Note: This review was written back in May, be fore the Elpida recall.
If you are a keen PC hardware enthusiast, you'll probably have heard the buzz about Elpida's Hyper ICs, or to give them their proper title, the "Elpida JPN J1108BASE-MNH-E Hyper 50nm" - We'll call them "Hyper" from here on in. So what's the big deal about these ICs then? Well, cast your mind back to the DDR2 glory days, and everyone in the know, wanted Micron D9 variants due to their abilities to hit high bandwidth overclocks at incredibly tight timings - Now, fast forward a couple of years and we are in a similar situation, DDR3 bandwidth is hitting 2000MHz plus, but for many sets of memory, timings are still fairly loose at CAS 9 and even CAS 10 on some kits - Enter the Elpida Hyper based kits...

OCZ Behemoth Double-Laser Gaming Mouse Review.

Today, we are going to take a look at something a little bit different. We all need peripherals and the majority of us use some kind of mouse for our daily computing workload and also for gaming - On a personal level, I find that most gaming mice are too small for my hands and not really suitable for my day to day work, or just have buttons in the wrong places, so when OCZ asked us to review their new Behemoth Double-Laser Gaming mouse, I was quite intrigued as the body of it is much larger than your average rodent, and it looked to be a good partner for my shovel like hands.

Patriot Viper PVT36G1600LLK 1600MHz 6GB Triple Channel Memory Kit Review.

The market is currently awash with 6GB memory kits for i7 - this is great news for the consumer as it helps to drive down the prices and adds to the overall choice, but with so much choice, things can get a little confusing, so today we are going to try and simplify things a little by taking a look at the Patriot Viper PVT36G1600LLK 1600MHz 6GB kit.

Noctua NH-U12P SE1366 CPU Cooler Review.
Noctua have created a great reputation for creating effective coolers, whilst at the same time managing to keep noise within acceptable levels. They make no compromise on quality and consequently their products are in the premium end of the market.
This is not a new product, there is a NH-U12P available for 775 and AMD sockets. This is a special edition kit for the I7 Nehalem processors, socket 1366. Retailing in the UK at around £56 at first sight that seems a steep price for an air cooler, however unlike other premium air cooler manufacturers, Noctua coolers usually come with a fan. This kit goes one better and comes with two fans, these are the NF-P12 Premium Noctua NF-P12 ) Normally retailing at £17 each , you can see the price starts to make some sense. So let's see if that price is justified.

Gelid Solutions Silent Spirit 1366 Edition CPU Cooler Review.

Today, we are going to take a look at Gelid Solution's Silent Spirit CPU cooler - The Silent Spirit has had a minor update and now comes with an optional set of LGA1366 brackets so you can fit it to your i7 system. Gelid Solutions make no bones about the performance of the Silent Spirit, it's firmly designed to be a step up from the stock cooler, with slightly better thermal performance and near silent operation. Gelid say that on an i7, a little overclocking may be possible, but quiet operation and value for money are key.
