Things are moving fast in the highly competitive world of solid state drives, with each manufacturer trying to outdo the other with extra features, or improvements in firmware and performance. Today's review subject, the Crucial RealSSD 128GB drive is no exception and is not only the first SATA III 6 Gb/s model, it is also the first SSD that we've seen that uses the Marvell 88SS9174 BJP2 controller.
The addition of SATA III compatibility is an interesting move from Crucial, given that the format is only just starting to filter through on certain motherboards, with no official Intel support as yet, however, it does allow for slightly higher sequential read speeds at up to 355MB/Sec. It's all very well having super fast sequential figures, but will the C300 deliver IOPS to match? Read on to find out...

We started this guide in October 2007, just after we first opened, but never got round to finishing it for one reason or another. A few weeks ago, we started working on it again with the intention of it being a quick walk through, but it has turned into a huge article with over seventy images. We've tried to keep it as simple as possible with beginners in mind, but at the same time, tried to keep it interesting and informative for slightly more seasoned water coolers. Have we succeeded? Let us know what you think! Check out the article here!

G.Skill have been around for a number of years now, twenty one to be precise, I can remember buying my first set around five years ago, they were the much sought after HZ 3-4-4-8 500MHz 2GB kit with Samsung UCC ICs and they are still going strong to this day after much torture! In recent years, G.Skill have developed a reputation for producing enthusiast grade memory kits, and that's exactly what we have for review today, the F3-16000CL6T-6GBPID (F3 from here on in).
The kit comprises of 3x2GB modules, each running at 2000MHz / 6-9-6-24 2N and 1.65v. Each module is clad in a black anodised aluminum heat spreader, and also included in the kit is G.Skill's dual fan memory cooler, more on these later.
From previous testing, we know that CAS 6 at 1600MHz can sometimes equal or beat CAS 7 or 8 at 2000MHz in some circumstances, so how will these modules perform at 6-9-6-24 / 2000MHz? Read on to find out...

Anyone who has bought a mid to high end graphics card in the last few years will appreciate the amount of heat that is generated when the card is running at full load, not just from the GPU itself, but also from the memory and more importantly the VRMs. Stock coolers are generally just OK, but can be noisy and sometimes not particularly good at their job, so many people choose to fit an after market solution, and that is exactly what we have here today - The Thermalright Spitfire GPU and VRM-R5 VRM coolers.
Both the Spitfire and VRM-R5 ship separately, but to get the best from the Spitfire, you really need to use the VRM-R5 (or the appropriate VRM add on for your card) too, so that's what we are going to do. Will they be up to the mark? Read on to find out...

Dimastech Bench/Test Table Easy V2.5 Review.

Almost two years ago, we reviewed the DimasTech's Easy Bench V2.0 and while it was a revelation for us reviewers, there were several design issues that needed addressing. DimasTech actually contacted us to say that they had listened to what we (and others) had said, and had made a series of changes to the latest model, the Easy Bench V2.5.

The X58 chip set has been around for almost two years, and in that time, we've seen a succession of motherboards, all purporting to offer something extra over their predecessors, today we have a recent offering from Asus in the form of their P6X58D-E (P6X from here on in!). The P6X is a fully loaded mid range motherboard with all the usual trimmings, only this time we have two SATA III 6GB ports and two USB 3.0 ports to add a little future proofing. To make things a little more interesting, Asus have added some nice overclocking features, so we are going to go at this from a "budget" overclocking perspective.

Today we're taking a rather belated look at Corsair's H50 liquid CPU Cooler, this is part of their Corsair Hydro Series™ of products which offers a liquid cooling solution in an easy to fit package. The H50 is made in partnership with Asetek, a Danish company, who have built a strong reputation over the last ten years in thermal management solutions, specialising in liquid cooling.
This is the first time that I personally have tried one of these type of units, I can see the attractions, a compact, sealed unit, easy to fit and the promise of being capable of matching or beating the performance of top air coolers with relatively low noise, add a competitive price and it starts to look too good to be true. Let's see how the H50 shapes up...
