DFI have announced a new overclocking contest that's open to everyone. Full rules and regulations are below - Any questions, please ask on our forums.
"LANParty (DFI), Taipei, 2009/04/24 - LANParty, the most famous main board brand worldwide, will hold the first session of global online overclocking competition during April to May of 2009. In addition to a handsome sum of money as prize and awards to the top three, the top ten candidates will also be honored as "LANParty certified overclocker".
"LANParty certified overclocker" enjoys the priority to obtain information on the new products, directly talk with R&D engineers and provide suggestions for the products under development."
What:
Upload CPU overclocking result to “www.ripping .org” during the activity held. In case that your mark ranks among the top 10, you can get the award and monetary prize provided by LANParty
When:
From “2009/4/25 08H: 00M: 00S” to “2009/5/25 07H: 59M: 59S” (UTC +8).
Who:
Anyone who meets the requirement below can join the activity.
For Intel group
- Mother board: Any LANParty MB with LGA 1366 socket.
- CPU：Intel Core i7 920
For AMD group
- Mother board：Any LANParty MB with AM2+ socket.
- CPU：AMD Phenom II 940
How:
- First, uploading your CPU-Z file to “CPU-Z validator” after overclocking (http://valid.canardpc.com).
- Then, uploading your result to www.ripping.org (Click the link below); please read the instruction carefully below before uploading your result.

For Intel group: Please do choose「Intel Core i7 920 (Bloomfield) S:1366」

For AMD group: Please do choose「AMD Phenom II (Deneb) S:AM2」

You have to fill in all column when uploading your CPU OC result (“website” column is optional).

* At the end of the activity, the organizer will actively contact the players ranking among the top 10. In case of failure in contacting within one week, it is regarded as waiver.

Registration period: from now to May 17, 2009

If you are interested in the competition, please click “Join Now!!!” at left to download the registration form (Filling in all the columns except “Email 2” & “S/N”). After sending back the completed form, you will get a registration number. The registration is not completed until you get a number for the competition. The registration number serves as the ID for the ward and prize presentation. No reissue is available for the lost registration number. Please keep it properly.

AMD group (Phenom II 940)
Verification method of AMD group awardees: the top ten of AMD Phenom II 940:

- No. 2 - €200 + DK790FXB-M3H5 + LANParty Certified Overclocker badge
- No. 3 - €100 + DK790FXB-M3H5 + LANParty Certified Overclocker badge

The organizer will contact the awardees. It is required to provide the correct contact information during registration.
The awardees are required to provide registration number, true name, correspondence address, bank account number (awardees with monetary prize).
Result proclamation:
- The result shall be proclaimed on the activity website on May 27, 2009. In case of any questions about the result, please notify the organizer within three days counting from the date of proclamation. It will not be accepted beyond this period.
- The result is mainly confirmed by the proclamation on www.Ripping.org website. If that position is not a candidate, the awardee is a vacancy and shall not be replaced:

Hall of fame:
After verification of awardees, photo, nationality and name of the awardees will be proclaimed in “Hall of Fame” on the activity website.
