Truly an epic build. Congrats. What are you using for coolant? How does the mini loop for the mobo components fair?

Coolant in the right hand res is Feser One Clear, i had a bottle spare so it saved me draining the GTX480 completely. The other two are just de-ionised water and silver.
The little loop works well but was probably pointless tbh, like most of this thing. lol.

    Just to illustrate the point, i have an i7 750 here at 3.4Ghz,4GB DDR3 1333, 500GB, Asus P55 M and a spare 4870X2(stock clocks) which scores 21008 in 3dmark06, prolly cost £950max.

This big machine scores 29900 same benchmark and i wont try to price it up but ill say that the extra 8k in 3dmark was well, hard won at any rate.

Id still do it again, in fact i am doing it again but that next one will be the last of its kind for me.
From then on it will be midrange all the way. ...

    ...well upper midrange...

...some better stuff in there too, like WC and PSU....

    ...maybe GFX...

affiliate13, a quick question for you:

The two screws that you remove next to the vent on the first step....they seem to be interfering with my ability to screw in the card into the pci expansion slots. If I remove those two screws I'm pretty sure it will allow me to mount it correctly. Do those two screws do anything substantial? If I just took them off would the card remain stable structurally? It doesn't look like they do much but just provide a firm seal to the bracket.

Just curious if I need to try and find lower profile screws or if I could just remove them....it is "resting" on top of the slot cover below it right now, which is non-ideal to say the least

    Thanks

    I am not 100% sure i follow.

    Do you mean these?

I am not using them at all once the EK block is fitted.

Maybe a pic or two will help me to understand better.

    Yup those are them

They interfere with the mounting of the cards in my case....stupid design by Lian Li. If they protruded 1mm less it would be ok.

    Yes OK,
    I use Lian Li V2110.
I am not using those screws at all.
Once i removed them to take off the ATI cooler i didnt need them again.
In this pic if you look at the vent you can see they are missing:

Yeah I guess I'll just have to take them off and see. I can't imagine with all of the other screws onboard that it would affect anything. Either that or get some different screws. Or get out the tin snips.

I should have prefaced the whole thing by saying I'm not watercooling, just having a mounting issue and your pics were helping me out. Cheers.
