Great job on those heatsinks, looks like a tight fit with the soundcard?

HITandRUN from overclockersclub.com made them for me, it cost 30$ shipped for all the sinks and the shim ^^

i think he only works with alum, im not sure.

now.. the sinks didnt make great contact with the ram chips so i put like 3 layers of sekisui tape on em and they make full contact now.... was that a bad idea? or should i "lap" the memory sinks some to get em flat?

tape will insulate to some extent, i would lap if you have the time. Hard to tell what difference it will make given that you cant compare the results without lapping anyway.
Clunk recomended sekisui tape to me awhile back, it sticks well and is very thin, this may be worth a look.

You could always use ceramique and a tiny dot of superglue at the corner of each chip.

I read somewhere about mixing a small amount of glue with thermal paste, the idea being it sticks and can come off easier later. Not sure if this would work, i wouldnt like to be the 1st to try it. Did you ever do this?

Artic Silver makes a bicomponent thermal paste wich also is a strong glue.

yea atm i have the sekisui take layered up on there so they make good contact. im not really happy with it but meh, i took it apart today and remounded everything as yesterday i rushed threw..

i took the stinks off the vitec chips as i dont think they help anything.

with just the ramsinks and a fan on the VRMs i would hit 120-130C in furmark and now...

Normal Furmark run for 120sec... look at the Amps used..

Furmark EXE renamed and ran again for 120sec... look at the Amps used now.. looks like ati messed with the newer drivers/fur mark due to ppl killing there cards
