I've added 28 photos of the Voltage Control Menu in detail. I will hopefully add some descriptions to the pictures soon!

It's quite an impressive looking BIOS. I like the idea of four seperate GTL REF adjustments, but can't help thinking that that would be a pig to get right

It is pretty good but it could do with a bit more explanation on some of the settings. As for the seperate GTL I think this is great... In fact I used it yesterday got my QX down to 1.16 volts under load for 3.6Ghz but core 1 failed prime instantly, kept adjusting the GTL for that particular core and got it stable again....

Whereas with DFI for example your adjusting for two cores at the same time even though only 1 might fail, which I found to be more frustrating as each core can respond differently to the GTL adjustment. Therefore you might get the failing core stable but the other one might now start to fail due to the adjustment. This individual approach on the Foxconn just seemed like an easier process to get stable again in my experiance having used both boards....

I haven't had any multiple core failures yet which could be more tricky but in that case just do the same until each one becomes stable as the fact that I was adjusting core 1 didn't have any affect on the other cores.....

Is the adjustment of GTL individual cores something that *could* be implemented in the T3R with a bios update, or is it (as I suspect) down to a circuit built into the motherboard that can't be changed without a board revision?

It's something that I'd like to be able to play with after the "fun" I had with the P5E3 premium, when adjusting GTLs seemed to have an effect, but adjusting pairs of voltages could jeapordise the stability of the alternate core to the one you're trying to stabilise...

That's where the Foxconn looks stronger, and it *almost* makes me regret ordering a T3R and not waiting for the Foxconn avenger.

The DFI board would require a redesign of the GTLREF circuit.

Still editing the memory timing pictures, there's almost 50 photos of that. I still need to add descriptions to the Voltage Setting pictures.

I hope those photos were informative!

Once I get the BIOS and software information complete, I'll begin tests!

Bad news

Unfortunately, I am receiving C1 errors on the DFI board. Supposedly, from what I read, it is due to the fact that I am using 2gb modules and I need to flash the BIOS so the board can support my memory, which is OCZ Reaper 10666 2gb x 2.

I don't have a 1gb stick to use. I am trying to find a way to get the board up and running soon. Sorry for more delays, I'll just concentrate on the Foxconn some more until this problem is resolved.

1GB or 2GB sticks will allow the board to boot as long as CAS is not set to 7 when read from the SPD.
