THX, i've read so many reviews in the last few months that i got a few ideas on what is useful to the reader and what is not.
Loads of pics is what i think lacks from most other reviews, it helps in understanding how and if a piece of hardware will fit.
As for the pics themselves, did everything at night, no flash only the room's 15W cold cathode bulb, 18-200 optics, sensitivity set to 100 ISO, tripod, 10 seconds exposure time

I know its not directly related to the HR-11 but the HR-09 you have on the Vregs - i cant work out exactly how this is mounted.
Is that plastic coated wire you are using twisted tight with perhaps some thermal tape underneath?
I guess since there were no perfectly aligned mounting holes available improvisation is a must, i just wondered if you had any close ups of the top and backside.
It looks securely mounted or i guess you would have had issues when adding the HR-11 with all the movement.
I think it looks really neat and i plan to steal your idea completely if i can get more clues as to how to ensure good contact.

Ahem (/blushes) that would actually be elastic fabric, it resembles the kind you could find on the waistline of speedos.
I had to make do since the HR09 i have right now is Type 1 and there is no way to make it fit with bolts.
That's why i ordered a HR09 Type 3, the base is shorter and i think it will be possible to simply use nuts and bolts.
Hell, if it fits but the card bends i will order a second one and use it as a backplate!

If i can continue to torture you with questions about this, where did you order your HR-09 type 3 from?
I can only find US stores stocking them.
I have edited the CCC fan control in my CCC profile to bring it up to 39% to bring down the idle temps from 79c-ish to under 60c but even this is somewhat loud, so i suppose i am eager to get the HR-03 GT and the MC14s as soon as possible. Although i wont put them on until i find an HR-09 Type 3 to match them with.
Thanks as ever Kelainefes.

I got it from a shop in italy, they got all sorts of modding/overclocking/high performance parts.
In case you can't find elsewhere i would ship one to you, but it would be costy... i think there must be someone selling it in the UK..
Try contacting some of the shops here, the type 3 is a relatively new product and maybe they still haven't updated the site or at least they will tell you if and when they will stock it.

I got S1 Rev2 to my HD4870, with two 120 fans (I know it's overkill but I had them around) it never pass the 47C on load.

Yes, i had looked at that link for the Uk resellers and tried to find someone in the UK with them. So your suggestion to order one through one of these suppliers is the best way to go. Although i found a company in the US who will ship to UK too.
IceChant, thanks but i wanted to try out the HR-03 GT as i already tried the AC S1 with my HD4850 i used a 120mm+80mm and this worked well, now i just want to try something different.

Basically it's best to search for a UK reseller since the cost for a HR09 it's around 15-17 euros, so you would easily spend more than that on postage ordering from USA.
