Welcome to the forums

I'm going to move this to software, it'll probably get more answers there.

I would say that if you haven't already updated vista, do that first, and then do a virus/spyware scan.

Hi, if you download, install and run CCleaner and clean out your Internet explorer browser cache, history, etc...

And then download, install and fully update both...

SUPERAntiSpyware.com - Downloads

and

Spybot-S&D! - Downloads

and run them both - and then run SUPERAntiSpyware in safe mode. You should be ok.

..if not, you may have something a little more serious going on. Try that lot first though.

Dont run spybot with x64, it'll murder your IE7 and outlook performance, although there is a patch available to fix it.

Forgot about 64 bit Vista being abnormal bo-larx. Although I'm reliably informed the latest Spybot downloads are just spiffy and peachy. Still. You don't need to run Spybot really anyway. SUPERAntiSpyware should cover your ass for a pre-lim check, so just stick with that for the time being.

I would download, update and run Microsoft's own Windows Defender if you haven't already got it on though.
