I have the Cooler Master Centurion 541 case. It's pretty roomy for a mATX case, so it should fit a decent air cooler in there.
I really want this board and the E8500, but I'm kinda torn between waiting to see if prices will fall or not when the new Intel chips come out. Do you guys think I should wait?

I don't think the wolfdale chips will fall much, if anything until the next gen dual cores are out next year.
Depends how much you need a quad core.

There's been plenty of speculation about this motherboard and there's even been photoshopped pictures of an X48 DK claiming to be one of these! - You'll be pleased to hear that we have the genuine article here today at Clunk.org.uk.
MATX motherboards as a rule, don't tend to be great overclockers, or they lack other important features - That's not the case with the JR P45-T2RS, it's a fully featured DFI motherboard (See specs further down) and the only thing it appears to be lacking is size!
I've been looking forward to this review for quite some time now, and on the face of it, DFI have a niche market filled with this little beauty, but how will it perform? Does size really matter? Read on to find out...

Just joined this great Forum, what a fantastic review on this motherboard
I post regularly on other forums like XSF but after seeing this forum I had to join. Lots of good info and members here, and as far as I am concerned, the UK rocks!
Thanks again for the review. I am new to this mATX concept, but due to circumstances, I built this setup a few weeks ago. I sold my previous Asus P5Q-D to a friend who needed a replacement board pronto, and my wife didn't like my Coolermaster Stacker 832 "It's too big and noisy"
So instead of buying a replacement P5Q-D I walked out of the shop with the DFI LPJR and an Antec Mini P180.
Glad I did, the case has great cable management, and the DFI board has been superb. I'm stable at 4400MHz, perhaps I can go a bit higher with the 8600. We shall see.

Thanks for the welcome!
I sure did find your review useful. I'm checking into your posted bios settings for the 4600MHz stable clock.
I'm going to compare them to what I have the bios set at now to see if there are any improvements I can make.
The only weird issue I have with this board now is that the Link Width, as shown in CPUZ, in the Motherboard section, sometimes is at 4x instead of the proper 8x. My fix for that has been to re-boot the system, sometimes it takes more than one re-boot, to get it back to 8x. I experienced this with the original bios and still have it with the latest DFI bios I flashed to.
Other than that, it's doing fine.
B.C. stands for British Columbia, it's a province in Canada, on our West Coast. Or Wet Coast as some refer to it as

Aah, Canada eh?
That's strange about the link width, I didn't see anything like that, but then again, I was using a different GPU.
When using my settings, keep in mind that my E8600 has a pretty low VID, so you may have to compensate for that

Yep, Canada, eh?
Yes, perhaps it is related to my GTX280 somehow, it's annoying but at least it's fixable.
Thanks for the info on your 8600. Mine unfortunately, has a vid of 1.2500 so it may need some different voltages, etc. I have managed to get it quite stable at 4400 by monkeying around (pardon the pun great smilie selection here) with the bios settings, but have many on auto as with your tested settings.
Will keep you posted on my success.
