Yes, Wolfdale CPUs are the perfect partner for the JR. If you can get an E0 stepping E8500, then thats even better

Like they were made for each other. I'm running an E8600 in the board now at 4000MHZ and 4GB of ram. All board voltages at stock except a slight bump to NB.

Depends what kind of case you will be using.

The big coolers will fit on, but you need to be aware that you may have issues with the NB cooler if you fit them vertically. They should fit ok, but it'll be a tight squeeze getting them fitted in an MATX case.

Water cooling works especially well on the JR.
