I can confirm that the PSU is not the issue. I took out a brand new 750, hooked up only the 2 mobo connectors and the video card, and got the same issue. It's looking like this board is DOA unless anyone has any other ideas.

If I get a 3rd bad one I'm giving up on Abit. I'd rather brave the DFI BIOS than put up with this crap.

Hi m8,
i'd leave battery out for a time & unplug any usb. Won't do any harm. Doesn't sound like a C1 issue but I had something like that the oyjer month.

luck

What codes does the LED cycle through?

I starts out at 90, then goes straight to 99 just before power off.

it shouldn't start at 9.0. there should be codes before that & 9.9. just means that it has completed the shutdown sequence.
9.0. usually means either a BIOS (corrupt, unsupported CPU etc.) or power (inadequate/failing PSU, short etc.) related problem.

Since I know it's not the PSU, I guess I'll try reseating the CPU and taking the CMOS battery out for a bit.

Could Abit's QC be so bad that I have a corrupted BIOS from the factory?
