Have you tried memtest on your ram ?? Memtest86 might be worth while testing a module at a time for a couple of hours each or until any error.
yeah, i'll try tomorrow 'cause w/ overclock (266fsb @ 2:1.00 (DDR2-1066) ) with latency by SPD and voltage AUTO it crashes too.. in prime95.. wtf..

the only configuration that *seems* to be stable atm is 333fsb @ 1:1.25 O_o i'll let prime95 go all night long... with this config.. and tomorrow i'll see... but wttttffff.. lol

what Mch .25v have you set ?? It may be that the strap is struggling , the memory controller, rather than the memory , try increasing mch voltage a not if not then 1:1.25 looks your best shot which is a shame.

I am wanting to flash my BIOS to v12.

I have created a boot floppy using Vista and "Create an MS DOS startup disk".

I have extracted the files included in the BIOS ZIP file.

When I copy those files to the floppy Vista warns me that there is not enough room on the disk.

I have tried omitting the .txt file but still there is not enough room.

Please can you guys advise me?

PS I have a USB memory stick. Can I use that to flash from?
If so how do I do it?

Hi BUFF and thanks for that.
Sorry to ask a question which I should have been able to answer myself

I have just finished a successful flash using 2 floppies.

Have a good day

Default Official Bios 12 (beta 09) is the worst ever!

The new official Bios 12 is crap!

Today a WOLFDALE E8400 is working in my case and the Bios 12 is not working with my 4GB OCZ DDR2-800 @ 450FSB and up! I flashed back to Bios 11 and now I can run the Rams 450FSB stable.

Also, the Multi of the Wolfdale ist buggy with the new Bios 12. The E8400 has only a 9 multi and the bios always says 9,5 and thats wrong (it is still running with multi 9)! So since i flashed back the bios, the E8400 is running with the correct multi.

So the only way to get a stable system for me is to fall back to bios 11 for example! THATS RIDICULOUS!!!

Pretty nice FSB (not the Highest!):

Nice clock with Aircooling (but not stable even with 1,55vcore)

THX supershanks!

But the Vcore witch 500x9 is 1,55v and thats too much for my good Aircooling. And that wasn stable with prime95. But with water and a little bit more vcore, the wolfdale will rock the house!^^

I had 10,6s SuperPi 1M with a normal Ram and many programs up! Thats the CPU from hell for only 193 Euros!^^

starting to sound tempting Tomsen Sounds like it deserves a decent bios. Can't understand why support isn't there.

Looks good
