Hah...open all hours indeed....I don't post for a few days and it descends into lunacy

How are we all?
A Good Christmas and New year ?

My experience is still rocking solid with the QuadGT running 24/7 at 360 x 9 [3.2 GHz] I was running quite happily at 380x 9 [3.4GHz] for a number of weeks, but I got a BSOD gaming in COD4 one day and decided to drop it a little...not had a problem since.

Of course it could of been anything, but if in doubt clock it down seems to be serving me well.

Still on the M704B_12_B02 bios (I know I am lazy) but I think I will either try the latest B08 or just wait for the final release.

What do mean decends. We do a very good class of lunacy here

Yep had a great xmas thanks , hope you did

Nice to see you stable especially after the igrief you had. I was suprised to see that 12.06 gave a slight lift to benches , but i don't think official 12 can be so far off. It would be nice to have 1:1.25 strap fixed i loved the :1:1.33 strap on the gigabyte dq6. that rocked & was so stable.

anyway good to here your doing ok.
Night
It's been a funny old day.

Hi guys, I have a major problem (a lot of xD). Sorry for the bad(?) english

I've assembled for my first time my PC. Specs are:
Mobo: abit ix38 quadgt
PCU: Q6600 G0 @ liquid (case TT Armor LCS)
RAM: corsair TWIN2X2048-8500C5DF
VGA: Asus EN8800GTS/HTDP (G92) 512MB
HDD: 2x raptor x 150gb
PWR: enermax infiniti 720

Now, I have got a lot of problems. I hope I have assembled all correctly..

1) When I do a reboot/shutdown I have to wait ~20min to reboot the system. otherwise I get a POST CODE 9.0 on the mobo and the system freezes there, w/ booting at all.

--> clearing the CMOS does nothing at all
--> removed the battery for 10mins and replaced: nothing (well yes it booted then shutdown and nothing ^^)

2) RAM are DDR2-1066 (i thought ram = cpu fsb was the best option, was i wrong ?) but the system default is 800mhz..

--> on the mobo the frequency 1066 is 1088 ? O_o why ? O_o

3) I've done so with the fan pins..
cpufan1: pump (rpm)
sysfan1: power (rpm)
auxfan4: waterblock's led
auxfan1: the fan on the back (rpm) [it has also molex for power/control, so have the 2 fans for the radiator]

is it ok ? O_o

4) Infinti has Cool Guard.. i have to do something for that ? it makes the fans run very fast for ~5sec after poweroff..

5) POWER:

- ATXPWR1: well, can't be wrong xD (24pins)
- ATX12V1 (+12v at cpu): i've connected the 4+4P CPU 12v .. it is EPS12V right ? :/
- then on the VGA the red 6+2P PCI-E 12v.. (well only the 6pin.. the VGA is not PCIe 2.0)

you can find here (http:// www tomshw.it/forum/showpost.php?p=764800&postcount=3) 10 pictures of the BIOS.. hope that could help..

I beg your pardon if that's not the right topic/forum where to ask those things.. but I'm hopeless :/
I need the help of someone who KNOWS ^^

Thankyou, you can contact me here, or @msn [ j0k3r at k4s.ch ] or @IRC [quakenet #k4s ].

EDIT: cpuz report file: http:// web.ticino.com/open/cpuz.htm O_O
Core Speed 1599.1 MHz O_o wtf ?

Last edited by karas; 11-01-2008 at 00:00. Reason: cpuz report file added

Hi karas,
Welcome to the forum

What Vdimm have you set in bios ??
If you haven't changed it, the issue may be that your memory is undervolted. If left on stock settings & Auto vdimm defaults to 1.8v, which is consiferably lower than the ~2.2v needed by performance ddr2

Try booting with a single ram module. if it posts , then go into the bios & set your memory voltage to it''s rated value. Turn off agian & add the 2nd moduke, you should then be ok. (except you'll need to repeat it whenever you clear cmos)

Make sure you are careful handling your memory & pull the power cord whilst you do it.

luck

VDIMM is the 'DDR2 Voltage' on the bios ? It was Auto. Changed to 2.1. Nothing changed: F10 to save the bios, pc tried to reboot but nothing. You think the problem of the wait time to sucessfully reboot is the ram ? If so, my ram is 1066mhz: on the mobo I have to set it at 1088 ? O_o And set all the DRAM Timings ? (they are on 'By SPD' now) thx
