My new Crucial (The Memory Experts) 8500 Tracer's arrived this morning, heat shields nipped too tightly at the tops - not touching chips hardly at all. Checked my existing 2GB and they are not that much better.

Anyone know of a short term cure or fix / better replacement, I have emailed them about it.

No problems installing them or running them, didn't even need to increase any voltages.

High glowball, that's bad , be helpful if you could add pics or comments & vote on here Could This Be A Possible Cause Of Dead Ballistix? Clunk has bought this issue to Crucial's attention.

Sadly you risk voiding your warranty if you try remounting the heat spreaders. As much as it's tempting.

cheers

The IP35 Pro is reputedly the best selling P35 mobo in the UK (OcUK have confirmed that it's theirs).

Bios M704B_12.B08 - Initial Feedback I tack this post onto the end of each bTA bios , which you see in post #1.

It's looking good, CPU temps haver been fixed somewhat as well. guru now shows about 5C less than coretemp, which is an improvement. Haven't had or heard of anything bad at all with it. Think we'll soon be seeing an Official 12 bios soon. Just be nice if they did something about the 1:1.25 strap over 400fsb

cheers
