I've not had time to run any benches yet, but gilgamesh said he believed the only real change was the fixing of the vcore issue. That's worth updating for though

Thanks for the everst link guys

3.5GHz (390 X9) is not a go for me, went up to 1.40v and core 4 fails within around 7 minutes, temps not bad 59Deg...hmmm you might have to take me through the theory of lowering the multi to 8x ?.

couple of things to try :-
1) Raise Vtt a notch
2) If still not stable try the same on MCH

Upping either of there won't effect your cpu temps. Option3 is to up vcore a notch IMy 9x400 was at 1.4225v Though having got 8x450 1.4125v will probably be stable, haven't retested on that though.

Lowering multi to 8 was easy for me & my settings are in the main index. Though there are a number of ppps including glowball, who can get 9x400 but not 8x450 on Q6600.

luck

Default M704B_12.B06 Initial Feedback

1) Pi & Everest Benches Comparison 8x470@1:1.20
________32M PI_______1M PI_________WP32M_____WP 10024______Everest R_____ W
12.06____13:53.766____13.672________11.675______38 9.593_______9204________8463
12.05____14.22.312____13.656________12.265______39 0.296_______9210________8437

12.06

12.05

More of a change than i expected, nice reduction in 32M Pi

2) Seems to be Better Failed OC Recovery - I tried 1:1.25 as usual with each new bios, as usual it failed, but it failed & recovered, i'd forgotten about it until glowball said he'd noticed an improvement, as he recovered from another 8x failure.

Hey SS, thanks for the advice, what exactly is VTT referring to is it called this in the Bios?
Not with it today but last day in work !!

I got a BSOD last night when I tried to up the Vcore a notch and run again the 390 x 9...then following a little increase again core 4 failed within 4 mins.

Here is a curve ball for you.

I keep having the old not detecting USB keyboard at post thing, which then puts it into a bit of a tiz as windows launch starts with "load in safe mode / or start as normal" which I can't obviously choose any as the keyboard doesn't work so I reset.

But apart from that, when I shutdown, all keyboard and mouse lights (I have a thing for blue lit things) power down as normal, but after a few hours after shutdown, it decides to re-power my Coperhead mouse....so it just site there pulsating blue neon when the PC is powered down....very odd.

Thanks for the advice on the Vtt, will try that tonight me thinks
