shanks I have a question about your vcore in your bios settings....

I see you have it set to 1.45 but in your pic with Prime95 running, CPU-Z says it's around 1.26 I believe.

So I'm kinda confused how it should be set.

Right now I'm at 1.325 and anything less than that Prime95 crashes. CPU-Z reports that as 1.4 at load. Right now I'm at 3.2Ghz, 9x356, 1:1, Q6600 G0. If I go anything less than 1.325, Prime95 BSOD's windows. Not sure if it's the processor or the ram that's causing that (set at 2.0v) but your vcore just seems so low for such a high overclock compared to mine and I can't figure out what yours really is.

Hi janko10,
Welcome to the forum

Ignore CPU-z it's wrong at higher vcores, it's best to ignore it all together for volts.. Look at the figure in Guru if you want to see the accurate vcore. I've checked it using a multimeter see MUltimeter Measurments and it's very close

Can you let us know your parts
It would be a big help to share your current settings by copying The ABIT IX38 QuadGT Template pasting it into a post & add your current settings
It will give us a chance to help.

luck

Guys, 12 hours Prime stable at 9 x 333 [ 3GHz] with your settings SuperShanks cheers dude

This was using the 2 x 1 Gb sticks that were found to be good.

I do plan on running the 4 X 1 GB sticks in the future, but what realistically should I limit my overclock too ??

I see lots of people stopping at 3.2 GHz as they are using 4 Gig of RAM..I guess I don't want to find the absolute maximum then have to go quite a way back to get stability with 4 Gig

Thoughts ??

good going
On air i was running pretty well on 9x400 temps were pretty good. 9x400 12hr Prime Max temps with thermalright Ultima were around 66C.

It really depends what temps you are comfortable with 24/7 but anywhere between 3k & 3.6k should be doable 24/7.

luck

I have lots of Trouble with my Rams (2GB Kit - MSC CELLSHOCK DDR2-800 4-4-4-12 DualChannel 2,2v, Micron D9GMH).

Prime95 (Blend/Custom) and memtest is crashing. In Slot 1/3 or 2/3 its crashing. Only in slot 2/3 the Ram is working.
And the surprise: DualChannel is still workin in different coloured slots!
How could this be?

I cant believe that this fantasic ram is only working in slot 2/3!

ABIT u have to do something! New bios, or whatever!

Have had the cellshock 8000 myself it's good stuff as is the 6400 kit.

If you want to share your timings etc., copy Bios Template into your post & enter your settings, we may be able to help.

If not hope you feel better for the rant
