Mine didn't turn up today ... UK post, say no more. Will have Q6600 GO too.

Are you still using that little power supply? Could squeezing too much out of it make it wobble enough that it could have affected your RAM? Just a thought.

Freeze just happened again, seems to be a random thing.
What I don't understand here I'm already running an X38 based system. XP has updated virtually every fecking driver, Why?

I just restored my raid image & using a ps2 mouse , as my wireless mouse isn't being detected. This started updating drivers, BSOD on trying to update Matrix raid. I now can't boot from raid at all. Have d/loaded from Intel latest matrix drivers & installed them will take raid down & reconstruct it.

I'm wondering what drivers abit are using the gigabyte installl was perfect & at 3.6 not stock

Clunk - when you look at the board next to the 24pin power socket. there are 2 lights:-
Nearest to edge = vcc = Green
furthest from edge = 3VSB = Red

Do yours show the same?? I take it the 2nd is southBridge ??

Thumbs down Quality control!!!

Hi guys,

Just got me new mobo delivered today but the northbridge copper fins are bent and damaged as well as some on the 'Quad GT' bit on the board.

I know its not the delivery thats damaged it because all was in great shape externally so its a factory thing, looks like they need more quality control, I'm starting to wondering if abit really care about quality control with this and all the probs you guys have been having, doesnt fill me with confidence that its 'made in china' either, as alot products coming from there lately have been very sub-standard. Thinking of jumping ship to the Gigabyte X38-DQ6?

Just thought i'd share

That sucks, you've not been in the driving seat yet ... and it's damaged already!

Mine arrived this morning but no CPU as yet.

Good luck with the board if you do decide to give it a try.

Hi Glowball,

Considering how I feel about mobo, your comment made me laugh, so thanks

I havent even been near the steering wheel!

Let us all know how you get on with it, i'd be interested in comparing results.

What CPU you going for?

Peace

You got a steering wheel with yours? Mine must be with the USB brackets.

I have a Q6600 GO coming, looks like tomorrow now but will keep you informed of progress.
If they will work, I'll be using 9136 dominator's in mine.
