Not noticed any difference on the keyboard lockups, it's a bit early to say, see how it goes.
Have only restarted & gone into bios a couple of times. It wasn't happening every time, maybe 1in5~10 times. So it's a suck it & see situation.

TBh that isn'y the big deal. think it's only how early you press the [delete] key when it posts. The thing that's the showstopper atm is the vcore.

Have had a play with the multimeter have located VCC, VDimm & perhaps Vcore. I'm not sure. abou that, think the bracket on the cpu cooler is blocking some measuring points

Bah, it is sad to see this board isn't all that we hoped, here's hoping that the IX48-MAX would be better. For one thing, I like the active NB cooling it has!

Grins.I know.even if I have to blow my own trumpet, the lads at abit (a few good friends there) and myself worked very hard on that design.

So was it the b team that did this one Any clues as to why the quad cpus need more vcore than a dual core

Mate,

If you remember my review on the IP35 PRO

Remember my b3 stepping quad core, I mentioned it has a sweet spot which at was 3.7 at 1.48volts vcore or 1.5 yet needed a massive jump of 1.575 to 3.8 and 1.66 VCORE to get to 3.98, then again needs over 1.7 VOLTS to get to 4 gigs =501FSBX8 ??????????

At the time I put that down to the B3 stepping CPU, now im not so sure.

I have just got my board today

I havent tested as I am at work, but I have seen the packaging, there is a 2CM clearence gap between board and box, there are SHIFT marks on the cardboard underneath, and 3 of the fins on the MCH is bent=grrrrr.

I remember this problem with the IN90HD board, the issue was meant to have been addressed then, with the CEO Alex Wu himself!GRRRRRR

Mate as I said I dont WORK for abit at all, rather work with them with useful suggestions, which do get impliemented...sometimes..... .

THe point im making is that although I didnt PAY for this board- admittedly, This is a flag ship board and better care should be taken!

First thing monday I am going to make sure 1 the packing issue is addressed 2nd BIOS ( both are equally important)

Mate you misunderstand my role with abit, I dont design the boards itself, I test, boards if they are good ill say so if not I will mention that also. I then feedback to abit my views on what should be changed.

I am not a beta tester, they send me boards and I review them. the X48 copper bases and 60mm fan idea on MCH was my idea from a report I made to them. It was to be used on the x38 MAX..

Sometimes I only get the retail board 1 to two weeks before you, this time I got it AFTER everyone else.

I fully support your views on this board.SO FAR!

In essence THe BIOS should not be this flaky on a retail version!

CLunk/ supershanks, Just to make my postion clear, although I do work with companies. im not a Stool FOR THEM! Shoddy work is shoddy work, and the packaging WILL be mentioned in my review in a couple of weeks..
