It is possible to recover RAID 0 data, as long as the drives have not been written to since the failure
if it's just an issue of drive detection perhaps, but there is no data redundancy in raid0 to preserve data Intel® Matrix Storage Technology

I think a drive has just been tagged by the raid controller so it cannot be part of the array anymore, i don't think its a drive failure.

The procedure for data recovery would be:

Turn off matrix raid, so the drives are detected as normal SATA drives, then run RAID Reconstructor and Captain Nemo by Runtime software to recover data

As a side note, my advice is to avoid using RAID while overclocking! I use a single SATA drive while testing and overclocking and benchmarking, when i am happy with everything, i move over to RAID

one of my side parameters of over clocking is running raid. I'v'e been running matrix raid for a decent while now. Raid & raid5 with 4x880gb Hitachi sata II drives. have had the same condition when ocing,
have managed to recover a raid5 issue, but the only recovery from raid0 has been a restore from backup. I use Acronis true image to run scheduled backups.

No doubt raid is the way to go, just matrix raid 0 and overclocking is not so good, one blue screen and your raid array doesn't work because matrix raid has tagged a drive... happened to me last time i used matrix raid, but i use hardware raid now.

Anyway, the method i said above will get data off a failed raid 0 array as long as both drives are ok

well I've saved the expense of an ad on card using above configuration for at least 18 months now. Matrix Raid (see link as well) works fine for me.

Can any one take a guess at how high i should be able to raise the FSB on some Corsair XMS2 TWIN2X4096-6400C5 G ram and be stable. I can boot into windows at 450 x 9.5 but i have no stability when trying to run prime95 or occt. I think most are lowering the cpu clock multiplier to raise the FSB past 500 but i am pretty sure my C5s wont get anywhere close. So i am keeping my clock at max with a slower FSB trying to get stable. I not sure if my direction is correct or not any insight would much appreciate.

Haven't used your ram would have thought 450 is pretty good going giving 900 on 800 (6400) ratet ram.

is correct if your struggling with 450 stability.

post your bios settings & we'll see if it's possible to help stabilise at 900 if you want , use the bios template from post#1

luck

hi SS thanks for your time I ungraded the bios today to ver F6H and i can't even get anywhere close to 450 FSB. From what I can figure out, is that as soon as go 1fsb over 400 the system locks up. (history) I loaded the new bios from GA's web site last week ver 7 something with the same results i thought it might of been a bad flash so i loaded version 4 bios back and i could boot into vista at 450 no problmo. So today i wanted to try version F6H and it's not any better for me. The voltages i have been playing with are totally random, i am new to this many options but i do find it rather fun and frustrating at the same time. one thing i find odd is the Fine Tune 6 util it works ok except when i click on the memory tab, the prog shuts down, any ideas? I have tried some of the basic increase this and that but no luck here is a sample of what i tried

CPU
CPU*Vcore….……….........................:v1.400
CPU*Termination….....*1.200V*.......:*v1.280
CPU*PLL…………………....1.500V*.......:*v1.58
CPU*Referen.…………....0.755V*.......:*v0.76
CPU*Reference2………,,0.800V*.......:v0.80
MCH/ICH
MCH*Core…………….....1.100V...........:*v1.48
MCH*Reference….…….0.800V...........;*v
MCH/DRAM*Ref.…......0.900V...........:*v
ICH*I/O……………….....1.550V............:*v
ICH*Core…………...……1.100V............:*v
DRAM
DRAM*Voltage*……....1.800V............:*v2.08
DRAM*Termination*.…0.900V............:*v
Channel*A*Reference*0.900V............:*v
Channel*B*Reference*0.900V............:*v

I have just been bouncing this voltage and that voltage the only real significant thing that makes a positive difference is bios version 4. One thing to point out is that every one trying to get high speeds is only doing it with 2 gigs of ram i am using 4 and eventually i will put in another 4 of the same ram for a total of 8 gigs. Any thoughts on that train of thought. the rig will only be used for gaming and multimedia I am building this thing so i can play Crysis before if too old.

if you can help great i think i am in a different time zone so this will be a long process for me. I am in Ontario Canada where the sun hardly ever shines and the snow lasts forever.

Bios 4 was virtually unworkable for most people from an overclocking board.
You might try looking at 9x470@2.40B 1128Mhz 5-5-5-20 or other runs, see index on post#1
for voltage settings. CPUs vary you may need to tweak slightly vcore, to get yours stable. Run Prime smallffts to test cpu stability. Run your memory at 2.00B rather than my 2.40B and see how that run at 940mhz try your ram at 5-5-5-24. assuming you can get into bios at those speeds, make a note of the advanced timing control settings in the SPD column. you may need to slacken them. Also post them upo here so we can see them please.

Ok thanks i will try that tonight when i get home from work I am running orthos blended at stock right now just to make sure it will run at stock speeds and voltages so far it ran over night 8.5 hrs no issues.
