What can I expect fsb wise on my x38-dq6 with the terrible vdroop?
Is it worth it or do I need to upgd my mojo I mean mobo?

Changes

1st thing I noticed is new flashier Flash Screen

Advanced Timing Control has been expanded now with 2 sub menus.

The Timings section is familiar from early bios. Looks like there has been some slackening off of tRD , Had set up to bios to my 7.5x575@2b but left tRD on Auto shows 12.

The new Driving options -

Pull-Up/Pull-down option ranges are +7~-7

Slight dip in Wprime , but across the board increases in memory based benches.
looking very nice at 43xx mhz...things are looking up...I LIKE!

Haved they not added the Loadline clibration to the X38 ?? The voltages look a little lower than the 8500 etc., so may not be an issue

I'm in a worse quandary now than I was . Remember I said I'd RMA's my Cellshock & was getting
CSX 2GB Kit DDR3-2000 DIABLO to play with & tide me over yill the cellshock was back. Well they arrived yesterday , but were either dead or as the shop seems to prefer incomparable with both the EP45T & DFI DFI UT X48-T3RS it's Micron D9GMH so they've gone back today & will get a refund. So looks like I'll wait till Cellshock comes back. So when i get refund , I'll have to decide Nehalem or a E8600 Ooooooohhh

Hi, i'm new user from italy!

I always have the same problem, ram (2*2Gb Corsair Dominator PC8500) do not succeed be either with the default frequencies just overclock cpu (qx9650) over 3000mhz. The last bios (f6h) does not improve the situation, he sets out for 1080 but the system is unstable under prime95 mt...

some advice?

Ps: sorry for my bad english...

The system not start just exceed the 1040/1050 mhz of ram... only when the cpu is at default i can boot with the ram "normal" frequencies (1066mhz).

obviously I have try to overvolt ram and nb, relax timings... no way!
