so i have finally got the system stable. i just stopped to mess with DRAM settings except for voltage and timing page.

I can push the FSB to 406 MHz. i guess more NB won't be necessary but maybe more CPU VID Special Add. Any tips and hints are appreciated.

hello,

what is now possible to get a high FSB with this MoBo and a Quad Core. What do you think to buy the UT P45 T2RS or this with DDR3? Thx

Quads don't generally do high FSB. If you want high FSB it's a Wolfdale you need

Generally P45s are better for OCing quads & x48s for duals.

I found P45 to be better for dual cores.

Its a board thing, not a chipset thing, with DFI.

Over at DFIclub, Rgone has come screenshots running a newer quad at 500 fsb on a DK P45....needed some good voltage but he got it stable. The UT P45 seems to be giving him headaches though with the same chip....go figure

On this board (ddr3) the max I've seen run stable is 540 fsb and that was posted by Praz awhile back. I run at 525fsb on an E8600 24/7 with ddr3 1750 7-7-7-24 1T timings on a 4 gig reaper kit. It only needs about 1.31 vcore and 1.25 vtt, but it needs about 1.579 to the northbridge for stability in apps like pcmark. At these speeds I get 11,000 mb/s bandwidth in everest, which I have yet to see be matched on a P35/45 even with ddr2-1200 speeds and a 5ghz chip
