I think I may be cursed then, I've had similar problems on the LT/UT-T3RS, DK-P45, LT/UT/X48-T2R and UT-P35 where the battery needs to be removed before it will post again.

I've also been wondering if they didn't like my Logitech wireless/USB keyboard, so I tried a stock P/s2 keyboard on the JR and it was fine.

I think I need to check that out further

That may be it. PS2 is what I normally use.

Interesting, emoners over on XS said he was having trouble with a USB keyboard too.

I've emailed DFI to see what they say

Have you ever tried it with a PS2 keyboard?

The T3RS? yes, but I wasn't looking for this, so not sure if it made any difference to my problems.

On past DFI boards a USB keyboard would not be seen until the EPROM handed control of startup to the BIOS which is why I went to a PS2 keyboard. May still be the same with this board.

If it's still the case, it's a pretty big flaw given the amount of people with USB keyboards?

Hope they can fix that, at least for the next gen of boards.

Anyone who hasn't tried the latest BIOS (9/23) should. It's much stabler for overclocks -- at least for me. I've been working on 440x9 MHz for a while now. Last nite, my last try died in prime blend in about 4 minutes (after passing 15 linpaks). I updated to the 9/23 BIOS and it primed for 4:15 hours before I lost a core! With a small adjustment, its looking like I'm stable at 442.

EDIT: I looks like they really worked memory. With the last BIOS, my NB GTL window for a working system was really small. If I bumped it up or down by 5 BIOS units (about 0.05%) would fail linpak in 1 or 2 cycles; centered, it would run for over 30 cycles (that's when I switch to prime95). With the new BIOS, my window is about 3%! (22 of the BIOS units).

^^^Agreed...Praz and I are starting to get upwards of 540fsb on our E8600's with this new BIOS....it wasn't even close to possible with previous versions.
