Did you run drivercleaner? Nvidia is notorious for leaving stuff behind.
Or, reinstall windows with the new video card to make sure that you have no left over pieces.

(And I'm having similar problems with my OCZ memory that you're reporting in your sig. Been holding me back every step of the way.)

yes i have tried new OS installs a number of times. When trying to install the drivers with the new install its has problems installing them and about 1 out of 3 boots i get no screen display. That ran is a hard one to get stable. OCZ told me not to get it. but only after I had already ordered it. Ive bought new ram waiting for it to come. It will work I'm sure but after 3 weeks Is wasn't easy. I'm leaning on maybe I boinked the bios so gonna re flash it again if it don't fix the problem im just gonna RMA the card. In less theres some setting in the bios i dont know about. Witch is why I posted.

You might also try the latest BIOS if you don't have it installed already. I know that there was at least one video card that was fixed by the version that I have (8/29/08) and I understand that there's another BIOS after that one out now.

Just flashed to 923 and run intelburn v1.8 and passed so i guess some more tweaks may be in order to lower some volts.

The 09/23 BIOS appears to be pretty much free of issues. With it 540x8 is pretty easy to get stable. But 550x8 is proving to be a bit more of a challenge.

For the love of God man, post up your BIOS settings! I've been trying to get 540fsb stable for awhile now on the 829!!! Its my endgoal...no really I swear....If I can get 540fsb and ddr3 1800 I won't OC any more. Seriously! Without a Doubt. Maybe.

Not really sure. The board did recover a couple of time. I normally don't wait to see though. The Insert key is my preferred method of recovery.

Insert key didn't work too well for me on the T2RSB, it was most noticeable when the board failed because of a memory overclock.

No-one else seems to be complaining about it, so maybe it was my board, it was a pre retail/engineering sample I believe

Insert key has only failed me one time....I shut it down, disconnected the power cord for 5min, and then it was good to go again with the insert key.

Given the amount of times I've pushed to hard and failed to POST, the insert key method is a GODSEND on this board!
