DFI won't officially support their own beta BIOSes if it goes wrong, so use them at your own risk.

Your warranty is fine for final releases though.

well 8/29 is an official bios for this board so not beta

a question about your board, you had to screw down your board on your tower, but what is about the hole under the Heatpipe? have you installed the seperator without the screw or did you leave off the seperator?

I flashed to 8/29 bios before installing my E8600 Q820A599 so lucky not to have any issues with setting vcore - so much so managed 4980Mhz at 1.55v bios set with Corsair Nautilus 500 H20 cooling for 3dmark05 Corsair TW3X2G2133C9DF Dominator + DFI UT X48-T3RS !

How did you do that? or did you just do step 1+2 ? or nothing of the 3 steps?

That's how that has been designed. it's the same for the DDR2 and DDR3 versions - No way round it really as the SB and PWM use captive bolts.

Bolts that are part of the heatsink and can't be removed.
