Can't say I would blame OCZ or any other manufacturer really. Would most likely be a board issue rather then the memory.

yeah it's a shame, if DFI could get this board to 580+ FSB it would be one ripper of a board with it's strong mem clocking ability

(This is my first post, so forgive me if this is a really nooby question)
Well, I'm about to build a new rig and was considering this board (it looks rather amazing), but after reading through this thread, it seems like it'd be a huge struggle. I plan on using a q9550 (possibly with 8gb of ram, 4 sticks, possibly a nightmare for overclocking) and mildly overclocking. Should I just stop and look for a different board? (any suggestions if yes?)
I don't really have the patience to put as much work as some of the people in this thread have put into it (over the past few MONTHS of tweeking?). Would it be worth it in the long run to get this board and tweak it?

Welcome to the forums
If you don't have a lot of patience and time and effort to put in, then this board isn't for you - it absolutely needs time spent setting it up and finding what works best for your gear.

@Clunk:
whats the different between TW3X4G1600-C9DHX and the TW3X4G1600-C9DHXNV? are the last ones tested for Nvidia boards? would both run on T3RS? I know I have a lot of questions, but I am glad that I found this Forum

Yes, the last ones have Nvidia EPP which is of no use on Intel boards.
I had been running the Nvidia ones on the T3RS with no problems - see the review in the reviews section
Also see page 3 or 4 of this review.
