A good rule I always try to follow. Use settings that the system requires not that I wish for.

ive been trying lately to set it to 400/1600 mem but it wont ever boot it omits the "death beep". it runs smoothly with 400/1333 im running it with the 9.5x cpu multiplyer would this haven anything to do with it. i see in the threads before they were saying that it could be a corrupt cmos but i take the darn battery out many times and it still wont let me boot with a 9x even at 300fsb . any ideas?

The best memory for this mobo?
Hi all, can you help me to know which is the best memory for this mobo?
I have the corsair CMX1024-1600C7DHX, but I had issue of instability, freeze, at spec value (7-7-7-20) NB 1,40-1.50, VTT 1.25, VDimm 1.90.
The OCZ 16000 2 gb is OK?
And the Cell shock 1866 blue?
I have Bios 821 and CPU QX9770.
Thanks

I didn't have an awful lot of luck with the OCZ 2GB 16000 kit. Also, OCZ made it quite clear on their forums that they do not support 2000hz on Intel chipsets. So far, I don't remember seeing anyone hit 2000mhz with that kit on this board for 24/7 use.
Cellshock blue seem to be made of chocolate at the moment.
The Corsair 1600Mhz kit I have are great, but they are the 9-9-9-24 4GB version.
I would have said the cellshock 1866 kit would have been best for benching, but their reliability lets them down - I'm sure supershanks will comment on this.

My problem and that I can not go to FSB over 400.
The same problem I had with the Striker 2 extreme. I thought it was a problem of mobo, but also with the DFI the problem is the same.
I think the problem is the memory.
What we seek is a memory performance but allow me a system stability with a moderate overclock (3.8 ghz-4 ghz).
