    Watch out Newb

    I'm using OCZ DDR3 PC3-16000 Platinum Enhanced Bandwidth Edition which I just got , to help me through Cellshock Woes I'll see which is best CPu is an E8200.

    I started out on a familiar path :-
    8x480(3,840) @ 1:2 1,1,920
    Click to Enlarge
    ]

    Minimal bios tweaking , used 060BTA :-

    Code:
    CPU Feature
    Thermal Management Control:.......... Enabled
    PPM(EIST) Mode:........................... Disabled
    Limit CPUID MaxVal:.........................Disabled
    CIE Function: ................................Disabled

    Core Multi-Processing:.................... Enabled

    CPU Clock Ratio.............................:8
    CPU N/2 Ratioo.............................: Disabled
    Target CPU Clock..........................: 3,840
    CPU Clock....................................: 480
    Boot Up Clock...............................: Auto
    CPU Clock Amplitude......................: 700mV
    CPU Clock0 Skew........................... 0ps:
    CPU Clock0 Skew........................... 0ps
    DRAM Speed.................................: 400/1600
    Target DRAM Speed........................: 1,920
    PCIE Clock....................................: 100mhz
    PCIE Slot Config.............................: 1X 1X

    CPU Spread Spectrum......................: Disabled
    PCIE Spread Spectrum:.................... Disabled

    DRAM Voltage Control......................: 1.803v
    SB Core/CPU PLL Voltage..................: 1.510v

    CPU VTT Voltage.............................: 1.220v
    Vcore Droop Control.........................: Enabled

    GTL REF Voltage Control...................: Disable
    x CPU GTL1/3 REF Volt......................: 113
    x CPU GTL 0/2 REF Volt.....................: 100
    x North Bridge GTL REF Volt................: 110
    Went a bit further managed :-
    8x489(3,912) @ 1:2 1,1,956
    Click to Enlarge
    ]
    But that's not OCCT stable.
    Tried a few tweaks but nothing really helped , only adjustments to earlier were :-
    CPU VID Control = 1.38125-->1.3785v
    CPU VTT Voltage. = 1.220 --> 1.255
    May be my ignorance of the options at this stage, so any suggestions gratefully recieved

    Have tried all bios now, again it might be my newbness, but can't get >500. Looks like it might be back to the Gigabyte GA X48T DQ6 until we get a fresh bios, which is a real shame.

    It kind of proves the point about the BIOS.

    You are stuck pretty much were I was stuck, and also Eva2000.

    Looks like we will just have to wait a while longer.

    Oh hum
    Still I suppose it's the 1st DDR3 board. So may try learning a bit more about memory options ?? or use gigabyte

    what did you use for your 488 stable ??

    Dodgy Post LED ??

    Oh nearly forgot looking at the Post Code LED display I'm not sure if I've got a dodgy LED . The bottom section of the 2nd LEd (Rightmost units) doesn't display so for example I see C and only the top part of the 1. Is this a fault or not ?? When it 1st starts the bottom section seems to appear but then blanks off.

    I didn't make a note of the settings sorry, because they were high voltage ones (Vcore wise) that wouldn't be any use to anyone really.

    I will try again later

    You should see C1 when it is first firing up.

    I'm not sure why it is missing bits of it maybe you do have a faulty one?

    You are the new king of the RMA
    Makes you laugh how these things are like buses , you don't see one for ages then 2 or 3 come around at once.
    Think you've hexed me with your luck jinx.

    Think it's direct RMA to DFI holland. ??

    Not sure about the RMA...might be quicker to send direct to them at NL, yes.

    It's only fair that someone else gets the curse for a while
