i tested the new latest beta F6B (15/12/08)!after months of testing the f5a,f5d,f5,f6a think this is the most stable for my system and second the f5d!i hope final f6 bios to be better!

thanks supershanks!i wonder why they haven't this beta bios at the gigabyte x48t page!i asked for the latest beta/final bios at the service support of gigabyte!i had my best clocks ever with this!but i think there is head room for more optimisation with quads!because with duos this board compares every other high end board!but not the same with quads i think they are on a good(bios)road!

I usually get gigabyte bta bios from here JZ the latest they have is 6A (Select

Hi,

This is my first post on this forum.

I bought a X48T-DQ6 last year (I have a rev. 1.3 because Gigabyte changed mine three months ago).
I also bought 2*2Gb ddr3 14400 c8 Platinium from OCZ.
My cpu is a Q9550 E0.

Actually, I am full stable (45minutes OCCT and intel burn test) with this configuration (cpu 3.6Ghz / fsb 425 / spd 3.2B / dram frequency 680Mhz 7-9-8-21 2T 52 1.9V):

But my configuration is unable to be stable with approximately more than 700~750 of dram frequency. OCZ support said to me this issue is due to the chipset that can not support more than 700~750 in dram frequency with 2*2Gb of ddr3 and a quad core.

Here you can find a configuration wich does not boot one time (cpu 2.25Ghz / fsb 375Mhz / spd 4d / dram freq 750Mhz 8-8-8-27 2T 62 1.9V/:

What do you think about ? Is this really impossible to manage this board with 2*2Gb at high dram frequency and quad core ?

Welcome to the forum

If you look at Ace's Clocks in this thread he's run very well with 2x2gb and a quad. So I see no reason why you shouldn't get better that your on. I would think 1600Mhz should be doable perhaps on slacker timings if need be than your ram is specced at.
Is this your ram the 2 x 2Gb kit? OCZ DDR3 PC3-14400 Platinum Edition
There are a few things i'd try :-
Try The D Strap I found this the most stable and workable strap. It also works with a higher MCH voltage which can add stability.
1) 2.66D with a higher FSB
or
2) 3.33D maybe with about the same or slightly higher FSB

Have you tried +0.45v giving 1.95v ?
