Thanks for the quick reply SuperShanks, I apreciate you taking the time to help.

Yes, I'm using the Cooling fans that came with the memory. And Corsair state that this memory is certified to perform at 7,7,7,20 timings with a voltage of 2.0. Whether that is the MAX they can handle i'm unsure.

I look forward to trying your sugestions when i get back home later this evening.
Cheers!

I have made the adjustments you suggested. She booted up ok and i had no BSOD after i let it idle for a while. I proceeded to run Prime on Large FFTs and all 4 threads stopped within a second. So went to small FFTs to see how that would go. Within 5 seconds 2 threads stopped followed by a third in about a minute. the last remaining thread i stopped about 22 mins in.

"FATAL ERROR: Rounding was 0.5, expected less than 0.4 Hardware failure detected, consult stress.txt" seems to be the phrase of the day.

I dropped the fsb to 445 with the same results. I Continued to decrease in steps of 5 'til the old BSOD reurned. then i went back to were i had it with your suggestions and increased MCH to +.40 with same results in prime.

I'm starting to think there is a prob with the CPU.

Current changes Made:
TRFC 68
tRTP 8
tRD 9.

Not to worry, Tomorrow is another day.

the small ffts errors usually result from cpu failure.
try changing
CPU GTLREF1 Voltage*.......(67%)..: Normal to -3%
CPU GTLREF2 Voltage*.......(61%)..: Normal to -3%
Note: * Hidden Features Press [CTRL] + [F1] from main Menu to Access

Large ffts failure = memory.
Did you try changing System Memory Multiplier from 4.00B to 4.00D ??

i need a cool solution for the nb chip so stock cool for now but a zalman 9700 is on the cpu!i am afraid of the 200ps skews!i tried gtlref at -3 but i cant see any difference everybody nows that u have to give more gtlref to the quads!i think the board volts on the nb is fake i have +0.250 +1,25=1.50v right?i think 1,22 is the real stock and a measure for +0.250 shown 1.36volt not 1.50!the ram is at 1.89volt(i degraded my old gskills with 1,98!!!!!!!!!very stable at 3400 but i cant go over...!and i dont want to play with crazy volts i want to play with no crazy coolers or water just with 9700 zalman and a fan near the nb chip!i wonder if i can take more from my cpu?my vdroop is about 0.03 v

You got the cellshock blue ?
so if you run prime blend at 3.4 or
Quote:
but i cant go over...
what does it fail on ?
Large or small FFTS see Prime95 25.6 & 64 Bit Version Here. + the how to use link.

If large FFT is failing then it's ram.
Try
Code:
CAS Latency Time (tCL)............: 7
DRAM RAS# to CAS# (tRCD).........: 7
DRAM RAS# Precharge (tRP).........: 7
Precharge Delay (tRAS)............: 2
Advanced Timing Control
ACT to ACT Delay(tRRD)............: 6
Rank Write to READ Delay (tWTR)...: 17
Write To Precharge Delay (tWR)....: 22
Refresh to ACT Delay (tRFC).......: 60
Read To Precharge Delay (tRTP)....: 6
Static tREAD Value (tRD)..........: 7 (may need 8 but should be ok at 7 )
Static tREAD Phase Adj............: Auto
Command Rate (CMD)................: 1N
leave vdimm at around +0.35v as you have it

other things :-
Quote:
CPU/PCIEX Clock Driving Control...: 800mv
CPU Clock Skew Control............: 200PS(I AM AFRAID THAT SKEWS!I THINK THIS IS THE PLL VOLTS OK I NOW 1,56 PLL VOLT IS OK FOR 45NM BUT 1,60PLL IS A SLOW DEGRADE THINKG!SO 200PS = ? PLL VOLTS
for your clock you can most probably leave it on 0

Quote:
(G)MCH OverVoltage Control,(1.25v): =0.250
yep i'd run it higher

occt fails at 3460 i am stable with 3400!but memtest201 passes at 3460!so i think its cpu!i am gonna try the prime test!the classic cellshock 1600 7-7-7-14 1,7v-1,9v!

OCCT is a decent test , but failure doesn't give as much feedback as prime.
Quote:
memtest201 passes
how long did you run it ?? It also isn't a guaranteed that memory is stable in os. see memtest86+ v2.00 & the Memtest86+ v Memtest HCI link

the blue is 1500/1850
IUf it's not those then you need 8-7-6-21

i ran occt for 2 hours!yes the ram is 8-7-7-21 at 1700 for about a week!the 6 at the 3rd timming was bad!so stable at 3400 but i have to make more tests to see if i have to tune something for the 3450mhz

Yup, i tried the 4.00D multi. and it gave a BSOD at windows. I added the -3.0 both GTLRef fields and still get same results in prime (rounding was .5 expected <.4.) on 3 threads.

xmmmm.....full fsb volts i see!try CPU Clock Skew Control : 100ps
(G)MCH Clock Skew Control:100ps i tried at normal skews but occt fails after 30 minutes now running a test with 100ps!i dont want to run 24/7 at 200ps so 100ps is perfect if the test passes.....with 200ps was stable!try
CPU GTLREF1 Voltage:-3
CPU GTLREF2 Voltage:normal
the cpu gtlref2 is 61% by default and most m/b have 63% as default!so my best results was with this!its the cpu that hungs my system!i am sure that i need more nb volt/cpu volt but i dont want to push the system harder not before a cooling solution to the nb!a nb volt at pc health should be useful than giving blindly +0.250 or +0.300
