could it be a typo by anandtech?...have you emailed the reviewer for anandtech to ask the question...might be interesting!

OK, Supershanks, i finally got around to measuring the Mosfet that you said was MCH voltage.

after setting all voltages to normal, i read with my DMM from the right hand post, which you said was MCH...i found it to be "FSB" voltage, at least on my board...baseline or normal voltage was around 1.11v....and, it responded as i raised the FSB voltage add.

the middle post voltage actually moved up as i increased Vdimm...i had a slight variation from the Vdimm voltage reading over by the DIMM slots, but it definitely moved up and down as i adjusted the Vdimm...baseline or normal was around 1.53v.

so...do you have another measuring point that you think is MCH?

hi Ace,,
Great input as usual
That's odd.
Were you able to confirm the FSB(vtt) measuring point I originally found ??

It seems odd that the FSB would have 2 reading points particularly one some way away from the main CPU circuitry ?? The other thing that had helped convince me was the undervolt when overvolted of 0.2v which tied in with the Anandtech findings. See Bottom Voltage reading points & testing

Have emailed Raja to see if he can let us know where he measured MCH voltage from
Good find re that middle pin & correlation with Vdimm,

luck

i can confirm that point is FSB voltage control measurement point...also the mosfet to the right of yours will also show the FSB voltage...

Have you a 65nm cpu as well as a 45nm ?? available. I found that the stock FSB changed dependent on CPU installed. (on my FSB(Vtt)) measuring point. I didn't notice any change with the right hand pin on the mossfet. Most mobos do adjust the Vtt dependent on the CPU nm.

i currently have a 9650 installed on the board...the measuring point for FSB was reading 1.12v at normal...when i raised the FSB voltage to +0.20 add, the voltage increased to about 1.28v...so...it increased by a 0.26v
