the x48t-dq6 is the best board i have owned in years. I never owned a gigabyte before always been a asus fan but there QA has gone to the potty and the support well there's not any. The stalker extreme was my last asus product i will ever buy its was a total peace of trash... I read alot of reviews on the x48t and made a blind jump but it was the best buy in years , at least for me. booted right up no problems. I'm reborn gigabyte fan. solid design and just a good product 9/10. needs chipset coolers built in for the NB.

Yep this is my 2nd gigabyte , like you am fairly jaded with Asus. I've been very pleasantly suprised by both boards, but this in particular is excellent. I mounted a fan like this for NB fan like this for NB I used double sided tape to mount the fan

Performance isn't as great as expected this RyderOCZ

Currently the only platform we support DDR3-2000 on is the 790i by Nvidia for just this reason. Your FSB had to be at 500 on an Intel chipset to run DDR3-2000, some board/CPU combos will not achieve this.

I would say you are off to a very good start if you are at 1920 so far. You may have to run 9-9-8 to get 2000.
So at the moment I wouldn't really recommend these for Intel chipsets.

just looking at your slide above, you have taken a hit trying to attain that magical 1000 mhz for memory speed...

Hi Ace,

Not that i've noticed, but i've not had chance to run anyother memory than this.

Absolutely & the reason I suggested

I had to slacken timings off that much to get the stability , Latency has gone from around 50 on my cellshock to 55. Most of the fastest runs were done at higher FSB & 3.33D divisor with the added advantage of increased write speed. These Samsung chips , as Ryder confirmed , don't seem to like high FSB , working best unlinked on 790i chipset. We've had the same issues on the DFI X48-T3RS with stable clock being limited to 480 FSB 1920 ram.

luck

good to talk to you again, chris...

better off to shot for high FSB as your first priority and then memory speed as the second priority...the L2 cache running at the highest FSB or system bus is the KEY!...NOW...once the MCH is moved onboard the CPU die, things will reverse!

yes Every Time Just a bummer when the ram hets a headache at higher FSB. This stuff supposedly works best in 790i unlinked. I struggled to get >500 on this & DFI UT X48-T3RS LanParty pretty disappointing really.

Yes looking forward to Nehalem Fresh blood
