Nice setup
Can't help you really with as I've run with Wolfdales with this board.
Best bios are F5A & F5D see link in post#1 under BTA Bios.

You'd be better off looking at Ace-A-Rue's settings as he's used a quad QX9650 Ace's Bios shots

for memory timings most of mine are around 1800 have a look here E8400 4,336 8x542@3.33D 1,807 8,7,6,14

Also check the GtlRef running -3 on both channels gives most stability

Hope that helps
luck

Tks very mutch for your help!

I Will check this out and put some news.

Regards

normal -= 1.25v yes
+0.40 should be 1.65v but is in effect 1.45v as it undervolts by about 0.20v
Your example 1.85v would be an over volt.

Please read here Voltage reading points & testing 3) (G)MCH Voltage

Original assumption was a stock of 1.45v
from the anandtech article see link & quoute

After measuring with multimeter where i got 1.25v at stock , ie no overvolt , I now believe that stock or normal is 1.25v , as Ace said that would conform with Intel's specification.

Default Got the Replacement Parts...

I am only able to have the FSB at 400 in order for my RAM to be run at 1600. This makes my CPU run at 3.0Ghz instead of 2.5. I know very little about overclocking, and as it's my work computer, was mainly trying to get it stable. the only other option is to run the RAM at 1333, and the CPU at 2.5. What should I be choosing here?

Code:
b]Advanced Bios Features[/b]
CPU Enhanced Halt(CIE)............: Disabled
CPU EIST Function.................: Disabled
Virtuaalization Technology........: Disabled

o.k... neither of those settings were stable enough to install XP (it would hang in the middle of setup). I chose auto, and now the RAM is seen at 1600, but now the mulitplier for the CPU is 400x6 instead of 333x7.5. which means the CPU is running at 2.4 instead of 2.5. I'm totally confused. I'm thinking I should've picked different parts. Do you guys think the 400x6 will be stable; does the FSB use the same mulitplier? in other words is my FSB now 1600 instead of 1333?

enter BIOs

select Load optimum setting

select f10 (save and exit)

reboot hit TAb then del enter bios

now you should be at 333x7.5 and ddr3 at 1333 Mhz
set drive boot order ect but dont tweek anything
install xp

after complete install sp3 and current drivers should you clock your ddr to 1600.

best results would be to install vista as ddr3 is better supported.

hope this helps.
