hi Ace, good luck and hope he recovers soon.

Also an update. I finally got this board figured out it seems.

It was not taking the RAM timings I was setting in the bios.

This seems to be a bug with F7f beta and for some reason even when i updated to the F7G it was still giving this issue.

So I flashed it back to F6, left battery out for 2 hours.
Flashed directly to F7g. And powered down the system after bios flash. Again removed the battery for an hour and rebooted the system. It gave bios checksum error and loaded bios defaults and after that its working like a charm. All settings set in bios are being applied properly.

So it wasnt even a RAM in the end. Ram running fine at 1100Mhz now. Board doing just fine at even 550Mhz

Phew......

The seem to throw out an occasional rogue bios we had the F5C which wouldn't keep any change you made to FSB. Think we were lucky in that it was more easily detected than the issue you had.

Was also fortunate that it flashed back OK. Sounds like your cmos had got well screwed. Anyway glad your up again , those results sound pretty good

luck

hey guys...i am back and my son had a successful surgical procedure today...it was a 2 plus hour operation and the best part, he did not need a colostomy bag and then, another surgical procedure 5-6 months later to hook up the colon.

the surgeon's wisdom definitely showed up with his delay tactic for surgery to counteract the infection and inflammation of the abdomial cavity.

YES!...talked to my son a little while ago and he sounds decent in his voice...just a lot of pain, which is expected...i remember when i had my appendectomy (ruptured appendix with major infection) and i eventually came off the pain shots...when i went home, my abdominal muscles quivered for about 8-10 hours over night...i was coming down off that pain medication; withdrawal....i got a little taste of what it is like for a person who is a drug abuser as he/she tries to come off illegal narcotic drugs.

when i was piloting a B747 and i had stays in frankfurt, germany, i never got over the view of seeing people shooting up narcotic drugs outside the train station or in the park...it is an ugly site and i thought a blot on germany...i know it happens in other countries.

that must be a great relief for you all. Your right though plenty of people have suffered coming off pain killers.

Yes it can be bad , but it's not always what you think
Remember years ago Linda & I were on holiday. We were parked in an empty 100 bay car park. We'd decided to go & have a meal . So I decided to test my blood sugar & take my insulin shot, to save carting it around. Of course sod's law cut in & another car entered the car park & parked, yup ,next to us , Of course the woman got out as i was sat in the drivers seat shooting up , my insulin. Her jaw dropped & she bumped her door on our car I just left it for my wife to explain, which she did extremely succinctly
