i had a problem connecting to my server so i had to go this route.

this is what i recommend:

C:FLASH895 (BIOS FILE NAME) /A /B /D /E /-G

Should be able to use the same switches Ace has on his abit flsh guide. They got nmme out of the mire on the abit quad GT, hope they help you.

this flasher is different in how it is programmed.

BTW, SS, did you have any problem flashing F5D in Qflash?...i kept getting bios ID error message...i downloaded again and i am about ready to go try a flash right now.

hmmmmmmmmm....i downloaded F5D directly to my USB drive and it still errors out in Qflash and doing a manual flash...i am trying to figure this one out!

i am currently clearing CMOS with battery out and power cord unplugged from the PSU and board....i am going to look for another source to download that bios from...do you have one?

Did this. Still no go........

I guess I have ran out of options. Gonna ask shop to take this board back tomorrow.

If they have another piece in stock gonna give it a try otherwise bye bye Gigabyte.

As a last thing to try, i am pulling the battery out overnight tomorrow after flashing.

No , mine ran fine & I got it from the link you posted so assume we got the same thing . I can put the file i got down up if you need it , give me a shout.

amazing...F5A was ok in Qflash but the manual way it was rejected...so, i downloaded the bios file again and copy over the FLASHER895 fil too....give me a link or i can send you my email address via PM

EDIT:...i'm going to format a floppy disk and copy the file to that...maybe my USD drive has problems although i did do chkdsk a few times and it reported it was ok.

Tbh i've never used anything other than qflash on either the x38 oir this.
It may have perhaps errored down loading it direct to USNB , I usually do it to HD & then copy to USB, though i'm probably being pedantic.

any way have sent it so hope you hve luck this time.

i downloaded it every way; it made no difference...so...i did the floppy mode and it worked...MUST BE

my USB drive is hosed with a file system problem...going to re-format...let you know if the manual way works once i do the the format.
