3-4 degrees is acceptable for difference...i see that A LOT!
i got up to 540 FSB but i overlooked disabling "Profile 1" in the the MIT section so i was battling the profile settings while i was trying to adjust the timings manually...all 3 video benches would freeze almost instantaneously upon sarting the bench....i am now re-working the benches at 500 FSB times 8.5 (4250 Mhz)...after i complete all 3 benches, i am tightening up the memory settings to find the lowest memory setting to complete those benches.

you mean CIA2 ?? not sure what you mean , sorry. Have had a bit of a frustrating day, have been jumping a bout a bit as well. Have had a few suprises, the odd clock which ran on the E8400 & won't run on this , bench failing for example on 4,400Mhz 8x550@3.33D 1,832Mhz 8,7,6,18 for example. Probably just needs a tweak, but I've not got it yet.

no, look at the X.M.P. line...it is disable now but i had "profile 1", which i think was calling up the "SPD" off the chip on the memory...i believe that was conflicting with my manual memory settings.

i am surprised that your pricey cellshock doesn't have XMP profile in it since that is the latest and greatest of intel specs.
my GSkill has only one XMP profile and 3 other SPD profiles
