is the 50 and 100 that you added a "ps" reference?
Yep just a note to show that they weren't a whim in the 1st place & that I further increased to 100 as shown below:-
    CPU Clock Skew Control............: 100
    (G)MCH Clock Skew Control.........: 100
Gor blimey mate , you've creamed my SupoerPi's the power of 4 cores I guess respect.::

Just having breakfast atm, & looking at my shiny new E8400

    luck

yeah!...2 cores versus 4 cores wins when it comes to the super-pi and wprime bench...i was looking at some of the recorded record times for wprime for the xeon and amd multiple core chips and they just blew everything right out of the water with ridiculous low times.

    E8400 1st Shot 4,320 9x480@3.33D 1,600Mhz 6,6,6,12

    E8400 4,320 9x480@3.33D 1,600Mhz 6,6,6,12
Took quiet a bit of tweaking to get there.

    This compares to the E8200 3,600 7.5x480@1600Mhz 6,6,6,12

    I'd seen it said that
The Write test is heavily dependent on the CPU's frequency
Comparison to the same FSB & memory timings using the E8200 & 7.5 Multi doesn't show much change in write sopeed at all.

The E8400 was run with a tRFC of 55 rather than 50 in the original 7.5x shot.
So I re-ran to correct for that :-

Both read & write fell slightly on the rerun.

With the same FSB & ram Timings a 20% increase in CPU speed (via multi) Has a proportional impact on Wprime, around 80% efffect on super Pi (16% v20%) but little impact on Everest read, Write & Copy. The Higher Write Speeds are therefore due to higher FSB.

I had similar views originally, but
this is my 2nd E8400 I didn't see much advantage for wolfdale v Q600 on DDR2 , but running with the E8200 and DDR3 changed my mind.mind.9x450 1.1.20 = 1080Mhz Bios vcore = 1.375v see comparison to Q6600 shows the same thing re 2v4 cores.
Both SuperPi benches smash anything on the quad but wprime lags way behind any quad figures
The chart I showed in the last post, to me, really shows that Wprime is 100% variable to cpu speed , whilst SuperPi is around 80% so.

    luck

have you found a DMM measuring point for Vcore on this board?...i found one but if there is another, it would possibly validate my current reading.

BTW, this board is just awesome with dual cores.

Quads are just about the same, at least the way that i am seeing it.

I had a quick dig around but didn't find it, just vdimm.
i want to check the (G)MCH volt read on anantech review that it undervolted by about 0.2v so would like to verify it.
BTW, this board is just awesome with dual cores.

Quads are just about the same, at least the way that i am seeing it.
Is keep meaning to give my q6600 a longer run, but i'm juist having too much fun with the 8200 & now the 8400.
