cellshock is just some serious performing memory!...i am a believer...i doubt if i could even approach that with my GSkill DDR-1600 memory...i wonder if there will be a decrease in performance once they come out with 2 x 2gb sticks....my understanding, they only make the 2 x 1gb sticks currently..correct???

Cellshock Yes they only do 2gb DDR3 kits. I think there usually is a performance hit 4Gb v 2Gb , though the gap is probably being eroded.

 it's the accountant in me
Think those 6-6-6-12 are a bit out of line when you look at this it highlights the low 1600Mhz copy that you spotted
I think of course it's probably down to the fairly arbitary speeds i've selected. None , have been tested as being the max speed for those timings. I've a feeling looking at the results that the 480x7.5 @3.33D could be pushed a bit further ?. There's only really the read bench that shows any linearity with the other 2 speeds.

it just goes to show you that higher memory speed won't get you the best "overall" performance.
like your chart!

Does that slowdown happen only at certain FSBs or all the way through the 1600 strap? Could it be like the old 965 chipset strap changeover?

500x7.5 @3.33 1650Mhz 6-6-6-12
Took the 6-6-6-12 clock up a bit

Got up to 510, but don't ya hate it when this happens
So will settle for a nice stable 500

Brings the bench comparison closer in line, but there is still a dip in 1650.

4,160Mhz 8x520
Thought I'd give >4k a shot. Could only get ram to stick at 6:5 2.40B though still it allows 5-5-5-12, so can't be all bad
