Since we are on the subject, DFI claims monitoring of NB temps for this moterboard, did check if it reports realistic temps? I am very busy this week and won't be able to install and test the board for a few more days

I'm not really sure what is a good temp for this NB.

The voltage is slightly higher than the X38 board, only by a small amount.

Next time I fire it up, I'll see what smart guardian is reporting, and also see if everest will pick anything up

Here's a few pix of the underside, So you can see how close the circuits are to the holes:

CPU

NB

SB

When i'll finally have the time to install everything i can post pics with the SI-128 SE, wich shares the same width with the TRUE.

P.S.: Aw and BTW i dont have a floppy drive and even if i could get one, i wouldn't know where to find working media for it...
How do i update the BIOS? I do have a software that creates a virtual floppy drive on your computer, could i generate the bios flashing disk on that and then try to make a cd image out of it? Anyone?

There's a guide on how to do it here, but I think you still need a floppy drive to begin with.

I still use a floppy drive for flashing the BIOS, just plug it in when needed and remove it later. It's not that often that it needs to be done so I don't mind

It's just that i don't trust 3,5" media too much... hard find new ones of recent production.

BTW i checkeded and the motherboard POSTs with the 2x1 GB sticks of Kingston HyperX 9200 that i purchased with it.
So no DOA at least
But i noticed a strange thing in the BIOS: when in IDE mode, it shows the devices conneced, but there a too many lines, shouldn't they be 6? Then if i reboot in SATA AHCI the devices are still working but i can't see them in the Standard settings screen? And there are just 4 rows for devices that are set on auto; if i try an auto detect with just DVD drive connected the BIOS hangs and i need to restart!
But in the boot priority settings i can select it and i see the correct name, and it boots fine from it... I really am puzzled.
I mean better not showing but working than the other way around... but still.
