Could be RMA time, lets hope not.
If vcore is all you are changing and only by one increment then i can not think what it might be.

Can you post all your BIOS settings using the template in my sig please?

Can you try a full CMOS clear by flipping the battery out with the power cable removed for an hour or two. This will completely reset the BIOS to the factory settings.

On turning back on use the 333/667 strap and try 9.5x450 with whatever the vcore you can boot with now is.

thanks guys i returned the board after trying everything i could think of. the DFI dude was hooked on the heat issue, I very much disagreed with him none the less i went as far as lapping my cpu with zero affect on the problem. On the other hand my cpu is nice and shiny now. The big dilemma now is what board to get far a replacement the dealer doesn't have any LP UT X48 T2Rs left. My choice is between a Asus Rampage Formula (not a real big fan of Asus) or a GIGA-BYTE GA-X48-DQ6. If any one has any ideas please let me know.

If you want x48 for crossfire then the giga x48 , if not confined to x48 I'd consider Gigabyte Ep45 the bios is on a par with DFI in terms of options.

thanks for the info, iam not sure about crossfire yet but i would like the option in the future. How much difference is there between X48 and p45 in terms of real word gaming. I am only look for about one to one and a half years worth of technology after that i sell everything and start over.

HI all, well i decided on the ep45 extreme. i have had it since Sunday and so far love it. I did check several reviews and yes it is slower in crossfire but IMO not enough to keep someone (me) from buying it. It is also $60can cheaper than the X48. So far i have tested the voltage to make sure i wouldn't have a barrier like i did on the ut-x48 and as far as i can tell now, i don't. although i have not been able to achieve any stability at 4.27GHz yet i think i am getting closer to my goal. right now i am running memtest at 4.27GHz with cpu at 1.4v and ram at 2.06v every thing else at auto. We will see how long this will run. After that i will start to try windows and play with some different voltages to obtain stability. As far as i can tell this is a great board with tons of features and lots of settings to play with although am not sure that the giant piece of copper does anything. For now thanks much for the recommendation i will post inthe EP45 thread with any updates.

Thanks everyone for the help.
