Hi, i had the same problem as you guys with no
post and 10 on led display. When i checked the .bin file afterwards it was the wrong one it says X48FD829. I downloaded the winimage self extracting file from the DFI website, i have tried it again and it still makes a floppy with the wrong .bin file, the .zip version on the other hand has the correct .bin AD829 file. My fault in part for using the floppy method, although i feel let down by DFI for making such a mistake. I never noticed when the flash program was working all the checksums were fine and it verified ok, i pressed F1 to exit and no
post/boot after that. I managed to get a replacement eeprom with the AD829 .bin file flashed onto it off of ebay overnight and all is well again now. I have made a bootable usb pen drive for future
bios flashes, at least i will see the file name when i copy it to the stick. I really cannot believe DFI would make such a mistake although it does warn you that beta
bios's are as is with no comebacks to DFI if things go wrong. Leaves a sour taste and my wallet is £12 lighter, ah well time to relegate the floppy drive to my 'one day these computer parts will come in useful box'. Hope you can warn DFI of the problem Clunk, cheers guys,
Best regards......Tony
