this time i posted a few seconds before you, so i could say the same thing about you...

BTW with this new BIOS i can boot at 475x8 although it hangs while loading windows, with a TRUE i probably could keep it stable, at least for benchies; before, it wouldn't even POST at 455.
I'm Prime stable at 450x8 for an hour now and still going wich i was never able to do with reasonable voltages, expecially on the VTT (1.31 now) and PLL (1.51).
I'll report when i see if it is stable and if i can lower something.
Remember my CPU is not a great clocker by any means so i'm kinda happy.

"YES! IT'S ALIVE!"
Finally, 3.6 GHz stable! (i stopped at 7h 14 mins no errors)
Now i'll try to lower voltages, seems that the tricky part was, guess what, finding the right GTL ref values, wich are kinda way off the charts, but who cares, and for the first time adjusting the value for the core that failed actually resulted in a stable system!
A big THX to the guys at DFI, as i would've never come up with those values on my own, and i only needed to up one core by 2 points to get the system from 2h stable to 7h stable!

That's good news then....I wonder if this BIOS will allow higher FSB on dual core wolfies too?

Decided to see what it can do with lower voltage. It does 4000mhz at only 1.21v

4307MHz @ 1.32v, 11 hours Prime95. I love this CPU

Very nice clocks, but i see you topped at 79C, does it stay that high under normal load or just when testing?

I improved the temps by ghetto modding a second Scythe SFlex on my Xigmatec. Using them in push/pull. Zipties FTW!

As you can see, the temperatures dropped from the 79C maximum to around 72C.

Also, i tried out Coretemp 0.99 instead of 0.99.1 today and guess what....

This explains the high temps with this E8500. It's VID is actually 1.075v not 1.1875 as 0.99.1 reports. So, at 1.32v with this CPU it's like running a more common 1.187-1.2v VID E8500 at 1.45v.

My temps when gaming / running SuperPI 32m / 3dmark / etc stay at around 58-62C per core. Only Prime/OCCT makes them jump over 68C.
