CLUNK: i am off to the gigabyte x48 ddr3 setup...received my parts earlier today....we will definitely compare notes...EXCEPT...mine is a DDR3 board...i'm going to start with a Q6600 and then on to QX9650.

Can you please post some more photos with the CPU Cooler installed?
I was thinking to get some supplemental cooling for the mosfets,PWM and NB.How do you think a Noctua NC-U6 would fit on this motherboard along with a Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme?Can I fit the Extreme vertically?
Also,what do you recommend for the cooling of the Mosfets?

Welcome to the forums

The Thermalright Ultra Extreme 120 will NOT fit vertically without some modding to the NB cooler as the heatpipes touch.

You really don't need any extra cooling for this board. The PWM heatink works well, the NB heatsink works well (unless you want to fit the TRUE vertically) and the SB heatsink doesn't really get very hot anyway.

I'm not sure about the Noctua NC-U6, I haven't got one of those

Thanks for the welcome and advices Clunk!

If you mount the TR 120 Ultra Extreme in a push-pull configuration,doesn't all the hot air go into the power supply and can damage it?
