Hi dynapl,
Welcome to the forum. Glad the threads helped m8

You've put yourself a great rig there.

Your like most of us, coming to the dark side

If your Quads anything like mine you'll be well pleased.
Those temps look ok.

Yep i've tried the F6 series but there's nothing there as good as either of the F5

Be great if you can post your settings, it is helpful i think. Everyones rig is different but it's a starting point.

Luck

I just tried to boot at 8x400 with 2.40A and 960Mhz with my G.Skill 6400 2x1GB (4,4,3,5) and i got a total power down. (Unresponsive power button)

I had to unplug the psu wait a few seconds and reset the cmos in order to boot again.

Got scared after that and went back to 9x330 2.50A 825Hz (4,4,3,5) which i am right now. I want to try again but this power down thing is really fustrating, i am hoping it will not happen again.

I really wonder what are the causes of that.

The reasons maybe many for not booting but i was wondering for the power-down. I am used to get a restart once an overclock goes wrong but this time it stuck...

you might need to loosen the timeings from G.Skill 6400 2x1GB (4,4,3,5) to G.Skill 6400 2x1GB (5,5,5,18)

+ as you are going faster than the specs for the chips you have to loosen the timeings not tighten then

I am sorry for that but you have to check previous posts on this thread. You will see that my bios template is all good when it comes to voltage. It's only a matter of my RAM liking certain frequencies.

Hi Anemovatis,
may be you were just pushing your memory too much@960Mhz especially with the 4,4,3,5 the last if it's Tras should be much higher ~12 when you have a 20% oc on it. try something like 4,5,5,12 or 5,5,5,12

what psu are you using btw didn't see it in the list of parts you posted earlier.

Edit:Sorry death didn't see your post there.
luck
