hdtune

today i phoned with gigabyte guys and they told to disable the cdrom from ide + leave only 2 memory chips on the board. but the same behavior. now i start to change the ddr overvoltage control first to + 0,20....but nothing. maybe higher? don´t know.
here my memory chips Kingston Technology Company - Kingston Memory Search - Search Results for: KVR800D2N5K2/2G. right now only 2 chips installed.

I've been tweaking around with the Skew adjustments and the Clock Drive with not much success. Same goes for the GTL Reference voltages. I'm slightly hesitant on increasing the MCH volts too much since I don't want to wear out the chip - anything over +0.3v hangs Windows anyway.

Anyone got any ideas?

Hi Skyboat,
Welcome to the forum
for GTLRef give this a try CPU GTLREF -3 on both.

I would certainly be looking at upping MCH volts I'd probably br looking +0.375~0.40 Certainly it should always be > FSB OverVoltage Control.

Sounds very odd. Is the heatsink mounted & screwed down ok ?? Is it very hot? It might be worth while putting a fan on it , something like Othgerwise it might be worthwhileremoving the heatpipes checking the thermal paste & remounting. If you removed the crazy cool , did you use the 2 screws to retain the NB heatsink under the board ??

Actually, I'm waiting for some replacement screws from Gigabyte since my board didn't come with any. The NB heatsink is very very hot so there is at least contact there, will redo the TIM once I get the parts. Blowing a 120mm fan directly at the nothbridge has stopped it freezing for now.

Maybe it's time to put the thing in the rest of my waterloop plans
